I received a degree in accounting. I am a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and a Certified Public Accountant. I have been providing accounting, tax, and financial services through my own firm since 1983.

Q.	What is your approach to financial planning?
I need to find out everything I can about the client, i.e. what is important to him/her (or both, if a couple), what he/she/they want to accomplish, what their needs are, what assets they have, what their liabilities are, number and ages of any children or grandchildren, etc. After obtaining this information, I discuss my recommendations with the client before proceeding.

My firm offers financial planning, income tax planning and preparation, estate planning, retirement planning, education planning, money management, and much more.

Q.	Will you be the only person working with me?
In the area of financial planning and money management, yes. If the engagement involves heavy income tax and estate planning matters, my partner may get involved.

Q.	How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services?
Generally, I work on a fee basis. Financial planning engagements and money management is performed on a fee basis, while financial products, such as annuities and life insurance, are necessarily compensated by the insurance companies on a commission basis.

Q.	If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something?
Yes. I do not maintain any discretionary accounts. I consult with my clients before any purchase or sale transaction.

Q.	How much risk should I be willing to take?
I cannot answer that until I know more about you and your situation. Everyone's situation is different, but, generally, the younger you are, the more risk you should be willing to take.
