  • Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?
We guarantee to match or beat your current advisor's fees.
  • What are your qualifications? What is your education background?
I have 18 years of professional experience and have worked at several of the top firms on Wall Street. I earned a Bachelor in Economics at Cal State University, Long Beach. I earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Arizona State University. Lastly, I am continually advancing my skills with coursework such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) curriculum via New York University.
  • What is your approach to financial planning?
First and foremost I truly use my ears before I use my mouth. The most important factor in quality financial planning is to fully understand the goals of the client. For more details on our process, please visit our website at www.myportfolioguide.com
  • What services do you offer?
Investment Management, Retirement Planning, Comprehensive Financial Planning, and Investor Education
  • How many clients do you currently manage?
    80
  • Will you be the only person working with me?
I have a team that supports me but I am proud to be the main point person and central to the overall relationship. We also have a Rocky Mountain Division which is led and supported with another Principal of the firm.
  • How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services?
I am solely compensated on a fee basis. All fees are charged in arrears on a quarterly basis and are a percentage of the assets under management.
  • If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something?
We offer both discretionary and non-discretionary management. Most of our clients are under discretionary management such that we monitor and manage the account on their behalf. We do offer non-discretionary management for those clients who wish to have approval on every portfolio move.
  • Do you offer any guaranteed results?
By law nobody in the financial services industry is allowed to "guarantee results" but what I can fully assure you is that "apples to apples" you will not find a single advisor that has a better combination of ethics, portfolio management & expertise, and all at the lowest cost in the business. Period.
  • How much risk should I be willing to take?
Each person and investor is of course different. One of the first and most critical things we will ascertain is exactly how much risk you should take. In general, it's our finding that most people are far more aggressive than they need to be and we truly figure out how your portfolio should be lined up to meet your goals.
  • Have you ever been charged with any breaches?
    No.
  • What services do you provide? What are your specialties?
My Portfolio Guide provides a number of services but our key expertise is in Portfolio/Investment Management. We also offer comprehensive financial planning for all clients who need it as part of our service. We also address and offer retirement planning and college planning.
  • What is your experience? How many clients do you currently manage?
I have 18 years of professional experience and have worked at several of the top firms on Wall Street. I earned a Bachelor in Economics at Cal State University, Long Beach. I earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Arizona State University. Lastly, I am continually advancing my skills with coursework such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) curriculum via New York University. 80
  • What financial institution(s) do you represent?
I’m proud to be completely independent from any financial institution. Unlike most advisors I don’t use any investments that pay me a commission. I also purposely do not sell insurance as I believe it can create a conflict of interest. I am Registered Investment Advisor and therefore have a fiduciary duty to do what's right and only in the best interest of my client.
  • How do you charge for your services?
I am solely compensated on a fee basis. All fees are charged in arrears on a quarterly basis and are a percentage of the assets under management.
  • Do you provide a free initial consultation?
Yes. We actually go beyond that since it's important for both parties to really get to know each other before making any decision. We provide a total portfolio analysis that shows you exactly where your portfolio could improve, specific recommendations, and also how to drastically reduce fees and expenses that you currently pay.
  • Why should I choose you as my financial advisor?
Investors will not find a better firm that offers the investment choices, level of expertise, ethical platform, no conflict of interest advice, top shelf customized service, all at the lowest fee structure in the entire industry ...as they will at My Portfolio Guide.
  • What are your qualifications?
I have 18 years of professional experience and have worked at several of the top firms on Wall Street. I earned a Bachelor in Economics at Cal State University, Long Beach. I earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Arizona State University. Lastly, I am continually advancing my skills with coursework such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) curriculum at New York University.
  • What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers?
My main approach is to make the entire process as seamless and pain free for the client as possible. I want them to worry about other things than what we are experts in. "Let the barber cut the hair"
  • How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take?
It depends on the company we are dealing with. Rollovers can literally be completed in as little as 3-5 days or in some cases it can take a few weeks. Either way...the most critical thing I help with is making it seamless for the client.
  • What financial institutions do you represent?
I can work with anyone but I’m proud to be completely independent from any financial institution. Unlike most advisors I don’t use any investments that pay me a commission. I also purposely do not sell insurance as I believe it can create a conflict of interest. I am Registered Investment Advisor and therefore have a fiduciary duty to do what's right and only in the best interest of my client.
  • How many years of experience do you have?
I have 18 years of experience.
  • What are your fees for this service?
    The fees we charge are based on the assets we professionally manage for the client. Fees are as follows: $0 - $1,000,000 0.90% $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 0.80% $2,000,000 - $3,000,000 0.70% $3,000,000 - $5,000,000 0.50% Above $5,000,000 0.40%
  • How many 401K rollover clients do you currently manage?
Throughout my career I have literally rolled over thousands of 401k's. Under my current platform I actively manage about 45 customized IRA rollovers.
  • Why should I roll over my 401K plan to your firm?
Investors will not find a better firm that offers the investment choices, level of expertise, ethical platform, no conflict of interest advice, top shelf customized service, all at the very best fee structure in the entire industry ...as they will at My Portfolio Guide.
