That true financial planning can only be done when product sales and any conflict has been removed. Callahan Financial Planning is uniquely independent and we are only compensated by our clients. This ensures we have just one objective, working on your financial goals.
What are your qualifications? What is your education background?
I am a Certified Financial Planner professional. I earned an undergraduate degree in Finance, Banking & Financial Markets, Investment Science and Portfolio Management from University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). I earned my professional degree in Personal Financial Planning from New York University (NYU).
How do you charge for your services?
Our clients pay us for financial planning services, at an hourly rate of $210.00 an hour. Each plan generally takes 7-15 hours, and a more specific quote will be provided after an initial review meeting of your situation. Ongoing investment management services are provided at a competitive annual rate of 0.55% to 1.45% per year, depending on the total value of your portfolio.
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services?
We are uniquely only compensated by our clients. Our clients never have to pay us sales charges or sales commissions. Depending upon your needs, our clients pay us either at an hourly rate or as calculation of your net worth.
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something?
Our clients can choose, however most prefer to provide us with the discretionary authority to make trades on an ongoing basis on your behalf.
