As a local independent financial advisor in Colorado Springs, I have a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of my clients. My clients' retirement years are secured by addressing and fixing overlooked financial and non-financial issues before they become a problem. Some of these issues include:Making sure a wife doesn't lose half of their Social Security income when the husband passes away.Ensuring at least two years of long-term care cost assistance without paying annual premiums.Making sure your Powers of Attorney have the appropriate language to work with Social Security, Medicare, the IRS and other organizations. "I live by a simple rule: treat others the way I want to be treated. I would never recommend something I wouldn't do in a similar situation or recommend to my parents. I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and show you how I do things differently."

Nick is a retired USAF officer, having served throughout the world including a tour in Baghdad, Iraq. After serving his country, he continued to serve locally by becoming a financial advisor with a national level company. After realizing he did not want to be a salesman pushing products, he joined a local advisory firm to help investors prepare for retirement. After several years with the local firm, Nick decided to start his own company, Iron Mountain Financial and focus on preparing investors for a great retirement. He has earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation in pursuit of that focus.
As an independent fiduciary advisor, Nick focus on those things that impact you financially, not just your portfolio. By coordinating your investments, Social Security, taxes, and estate planning, he's able to address the multitude of risks associated with retirement.
Nick is also a Financial Educator, having earned the CFED and CFEI designations. He's taught adult financial literacy classes at Pikes Peak Community College for three years before offering classes at the Pikes Peak Library District.
