In 2009, Elliot Harris Joined Ladenburg Thalmann and became the Managing Director of The Entertainment Industry Client Group in 2010. In doing so, he continues an 18-year career in the financial services industry. Elliot works with artists, musicians, actors and business owners along with their advisors (attorneys, accountants, and managers), to develop sound personal and business plans to help them achieve their short and long-term financial goals.
Elliot has lectured to the NYSSCPA for continuing education on Behavioral Finance He is also a visiting lecturer at the Business school at SUNY Albany for there graduate level economics program and has hosted and participated in events with the NYSBA.
Elliot is a graduate Cum Laude of the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Finance. He also holds a Retirement Planning Designation from The Wharton School of Business as well as a degree in Behavior Finance from the Harvard Business School. Elliot has also participated in the BGI summit at Stanford University where he continued his research on Behavioral Finance .
Active in his community, Elliot oversees The Harris Family Foundation which provides grants to nonprofit organizations that assist the families of children in a position of need or poverty. He currently sits on the Steering Committee for Friends of Karen and is active within the Nephcure Foundation He also volunteers as a mentor for Junior Achievement
