Additional Details on Charges:   We are fee planners. Since we work with the professionals, teachers, tradesmen and small business owners who keep our economy strong (vs. focusing exclusively on High-Net-Worth clients), we offer several levels of engagement that serve a greater variety of people.

Planning clients pay an annual "coaching" fee for services provided, based on the complexity of what is needed. We don't require our clients to have their assets managed though us and many do not, preferring to have advice and execution separated. Others limit their engagement to investment management. Our investment management fee is based on assets under management.

If risk management tools are part of a clients planning (where commissions could be involved), those charges are disclosed to the client. We can work with their agent or deal directly.

Portfolio Management

We are not mutual fund wrap account managers. Rather, our open architecture offers a range of investments, investment managers, and tailored portfolios to meet investor needs as they evolve over time. We bring our clients access to portfolios and management services usually reserved for high-net-worth individuals. We endeavor to increase investment transparency, reduce volatility, and minimize cost.

Retirement Planning

We answer questions people have about retirement, such as: Will I have enough to retire? When should I take Social Security? What pension option should I take? Will my spouse be ok if something happens to me? Should I have a trust? How do I cover health insurance if I retire before 65? How do I create lifetime income?

We answer these questions and many more like them! We find out what is important to you, what values and goals you have with your retirement, and we put a plan together to help you get there. By employing a variety of planning concepts and strategies, we help our clients have less stress and more enjoyment with their money.

401K Rollovers

Sometimes it's good to leave your plan with your employer. Other times not. We review all your options. When rolling over makes sense, we have numerous independent options to choose from. Often, we can diversify your rollover into more than one account or leverage different strategies to help you meet different goals and risk preferences.

Education Funding and Planning

Our tools inform you about what any college in America costs now, and factors inflation to project future need. We can help you understand and implement the various investment plans and strategies to save for college in a tax-favored way, position assets for optimal financial aid, and provide educational resources for FAFSA and scholarship research.

Wealth Management

At Circle we believe we are unique among some of our peers by offering holistic financial planning. We don't merely include a plan if you invest with us. As fiduciaries, we help our clients address & annually review all four quadrants of financial planning: Cash Flow Management, Tax Planning, Investment Management, and Risk Management. We endeavor to do this is a way that connects family, your values and finance.

Risk Management

This area is often the most overserved or most underserved area in financial services.

Insurance-based advisors are judged by how much they sell, so the first place they look for every solution is the product they must move. To make a profit and meet their quotas they must sell insurance and annuities.

At the other end of the spectrum are advisors who are really just investment managers. To make a profit they want assets under management, and loose fees if those dollars go to insurance products like annuities. And they get turned-off by the cost or complexity of such products. With both kinds of advisors, objectivity is compromised.

Financial Planners, on the other hand, are being negligent if they don't educate themselves on these products and objectively discuss risk management with their clients. Therefore, we will not arbitrarily limit or the withhold the use of any risk management tool that can best meet our clients' goals.

If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something?

Absolutely! This is required in any kind of brokerage relationship. However, most of our investment management clients engage in an investment advisory service that meets their risk tolerance and investment objectives. Doing so subsequently alleviates that worry.

About 250. Some of whom we've met with for decades and are like family. We'll treat you the same way!

Will you be the only person working with me?

We take a team approach. This way every client, every plan, and every recommendation is discussed with a panel of advisors with different knowledge and experience. Doing so leverages that knowledge and experience for each client's benefit. This approach also brings consistency to the relationship so that our clients and their history and goals and values are known to more than 1 person.
