We haven't run into this situation. If a client is not happy with the level or quality of service they have received we will talk with them about the appropriate resolution. We are not the right fit for everyone and we try to discover that up front through our initial conversation.

Over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise in broad levels of risk management and investment management. His past experience includes principal owner and agent for the Young Park, CPCU State Farm agency in Honolulu, HI.
Prior to joining King Tide Advisors, he was a top performing Relationship Manager where he managed over $45 million in client/household assets. Young provides expertise in the area of Life insurance needs and Long term care risk/solutions as well as comprehensive financial planning and investment management strategies. He also served as a Financial Advisor/Branch Manager at a military affiliated Federal Credit Union. Young also led a group of advisors as a Wholesaler.
I have my Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management and will be completing in the CFP designation in 2024

How do you charge for your services?
We charge a percentage for Assest Under Management (AUM) and we charge a fee for financial planning services.

We are fee only advisors.

If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something?
This is a special situation. Generally no. If you have positions that are inherited or have large gains in the portfolio and we need to reduce the potential impact that position may have in the portfolio, we will coordinate the transition of that position.

How many clients do you currently manage?
All of our clients are currently managed. We focus on long-term relationships with clients.

Will you be the only person working with me?
The advisor at King Tide Advisors is the primary point of contact for everything. You will also have the contact information for other team members in the event something is needed during weekends, vacations, or other times to handle an urgent request.

Do you offer any guaranteed results?
No. We do work with accountant, annuity, and insurance services to support our clients' specific financial needs. Our management and planning services do not have any guarantees.

How much risk should I be willing to take?
We have a risk assessment process to determine the appropriate amount of risk for each client. We believe each client has their own comfort level with risk. We carefully review this with each client before we take over management. We also set up routine meetings to review the risk and make adjustments if necessary.

What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers?
401k plans are each different depending on the company plan and the flexibility/limitations within that plan document. We discuss the goals and objectives of the client(s) and work through the appropriate rollover strategy.

How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take?
This process from start to finish takes a couple of weeks. It depends on the client's needs, establishing the right strategy, setting up the appropriate accounts, and then working with the plan administrator to transfer the assets.
