About Mark Sharp Retirement

Most planning firms focus on saving for retirement. While that's important, spending in retirement -- retirement income planning -- is far more complex than saving for retirement. For good reason, since maintaining steady spending power over a potentially long retirement while facing many risks is not something everyone can manage effectively. We bring a unique combination of experience, skills, and training to this problem domain to help our clients best utilize their resources in retirement.

Financial Services

Financial Planning for Individuals

Mark Sharp Retirement is a fee-only, virtual financial planning firm specializing in planning for the drawdown phase of people's financial lifetimes when they no longer receive a paycheck from their jobs but must still fund their lifestyles during a potentially lengthy retirement.

Retirement Planning

Retirement planning is critical to the quality of life an individual will enjoy after his or her income-earning years. We help busy and successful people simplify and organize their retirement Income planning. We focus on what can be controlled and plan for what cannot. From taxes to retirement to investments, we will map out potential needs and risks so you walk away with a strong vision for your future.

Tax Advice and Services

We believe focusing on the things you can control offers the greatest benefits to your retirement. Tax planning is a core component of comprehensive retirement income planning. I'll review all potential tax implications that could negatively impact your retirement security so you are well-prepared for filing season and everything in between. From exploiting tax-saving opportunities to implementing proactive, efficient withdrawal strategies, I'll help ensure your financial decisions avoid potential tax consequences while reducing tax liabilities to increase after-tax income.

Investment Advice & Management

Investing is not about what you make but what you keep. An undervalued way to accumulate additional retirement income, investing is a vital aspect of any retirement income plan. Before crafting a strategy, I'll discuss your retirement income needs, risks, and goals to clearly understand your main concerns and priorities. After these aspects have been outlined and agreed upon, I'll design an investment strategy centered around your objectives to help make sure every dollar you invest maximizes after-tax retirement income.

Financial Advice & Consulting

Our advice and consulting are uniquely targeted to those in or approaching retirement to solve their most pressing investment, retirement, and tax planning challenges.

Portfolio Management

For retirement spending strategies based on investments, managing them effectively is essential. As portfolio managers, we can help you achieve retirement income planning and investing objectives through our experience and expertise.

When it comes to retirement income planning, it's never an all-or-nothing proposition. All assets, including investments and insurance, can be used to fund retirement. The combination of these two schools of retirement income generally offers more than either could provide on its own.

Risk Management

Successful retirement outcomes require two things: generating income to fund retirement spending goals and mitigating risks that threaten those goals. How well you balance your spending goals with the risks they face will determine how satisfying your retirement will be.

Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?

More than often we exceed client expectations but in the event we don't, any paid fees, less cost of services already rendered, and expenses incurred will be fully refunded.
