Financial Services

Financial Planning for Businesses

We work with business owners on cash flow management, transition planning, debt structuring among others. The key objective is to determine have a business fits within the context of the achievement of personal goals and the fulfillment of a legacy plan.

Financial Planning for Individuals

The "Plan" for us is the guide for everything. We spend our initial meetings defining goals, looking for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the success of the client's goals. The plan will run from the day a client onboards to the death of the last household member. The Plan can change based on a myriad of factors and will be updated to reflect current assumptions to make a determination as to the efficacy of the plan with the revisions.

Financial Advice & Consulting

We assist clients with a range of financial issues that are part of the plan as well as surprises. If there is an item in a clients life that affects them financially, we want to help. Some common areas are refinancing a mortgage, funding home improvements, paying off debt, loan/lease questions, insurance choices, social security, corporate benefits review, among others.

Portfolio Management

We manage portfolios across the entire risk spectrum. Managing 3 or 4 portfolios within each investment objective but using differing tactical strategies to take advantage of ever evolving market conditions.

Retirement Planning

We look for areas to optimize tax-free and taxable distribution strategies when combined with Social Security and other guaranteed benefits a client may be eligible for.

401K Rollovers

We will review the current portfolio and discuss risk/reward profile of the existing 401k. Then make a determination as to the best strategy going forward to reach client goals with the roll to a traditional or ROTH IRA.

Insurance Planning

We will review and advise on life as well as property and casualty insurance. We will review clients policies at part of the initial onboarding process and make recommendations. Annually we will review property sand casualty policies to see if it makes sense to shop. If we feel it does, we will assist in the process by submitting to the network of carriers we feel represents a significant percent of the policies sold in the state. We will then work with the client to make comparisons and advise on changing.

Annuities

In almost every instance we feel there is a better solution to a goal than an annuity. We maintain our licenses to sell annuities so that we can assist clients who come in and are uncertain as the what they have purchased. We are able to use our internal annuities research team as well as take over as rep to determine what the client owns. After, we can make recommendations as to changes or even liquidating the annuity if it makes sense.

Estate Planning & Trusts

We will work with clients and their attorneys to help define the best strategies for the achievement of client goals.

Tax Advice and Services

We will review personal and corporate returns to look for areas where tax mitigation opportunities exist. In addition, strategies around required distributions, education planning, and actives in non-retirement account all are view with tax implications as a significant consideration.

Education Funding and Planning

We establish and manage education plans based on client goals with the use of all available structural tools including, 529, UTMA, ROTH, etc.

Investment Advice & Management

We manage portfolios on a discretionary basis with a global macro tactical approach with most of our portfolios, We also have some portfolios based purely on technicals and others that are thematic. We also advise clients with investments we do not actively mange such as 401k, individual brokerage or "trading" accounts and illiquid investments clients have.

Wealth Management

We combine both investment and non-investment related components of a client's financial life. We feel the non-investment items are equally important to a successful plan and thus achievement of client goals. We symbiotically manage both categories to take advantage of opportunities and minimize threats, so as to maximize the percent chance that the client can live life according to the plan created.

Risk Management

We manage risk on the investment side by looking toward optimization of the risk/reward structure. We work with clients to diversify out of overweighted positions and well as look to hedge when necessary. On the non-investment side of the equation, we help clients mitigate risk for self-insured items and assist clients in understanding the appropriate insurance level for risk that need to be insured against.

Money Management

We assist in cash flow development and the established of tranches of money that may be invested different based on differing liquidity needs and goals.
