Eric wants to live in a world filled with people who are at financial peace, unburdened by the anxiety that comes with trying to figure out how to never go broke. He also wants to live in a world where markets only go up, people never become chronically ill, and emergencies never occur. Unfortunately, that world doesn't exist.

As a financial advisor and planner with more than 20 years of experience, he's worked with clients as young as 1 and as old as 93. He's seen clients' toddlers graduate from college, attended many retirement parties, and managed to navigate through some of the most tumultuous markets years in the history of our nation. That look in his eye is the look of someone who's seen it all but is always looking to learn more and pass that knowledge on.

When he's not helping families of special needs children and adults figure out how to make their money last two lifetimes, you'll find him spending time with his patient and big-hearted wife, Heather, and their two wonderful children. His oldest is autistic (and amazing) and that has been a driving force behind his goal to be a significant long-term resource for other families that want to know that (a) its going to be okay, (b) they aren't alone, and (c) people are here to help. Eric knows first-hand how hard it is to plan for two lifetimes, let alone one.

Financial Planning for Individuals

It's more than the math, its the path. The best financial plan is not only one that works out mathematically, but is motivating enough to you to do it! Designing a plan that makes you feel comfortable, confident and in control means that we have succeeded.


Investment Management & Advice

Clients entrust us with their life savings. When we manage assets we are fiduciaries and steward these financial assets with a disciplined and transparent process. Our investment recommendations consider the context of the entire household financial situation, goals, risk tolerance and stage of life. The performance of financial markets is outside our control, but how we invest is fully within our control. So that's where we focus our efforts. We'll keep it simple, so you understand what you own, and avoid complicated esoteric strategies. We also feel that clients should only take the risk they need to take to accomplish their goals. No more, no less. At some point, we'll begin to focus less on growing your money and more about keeping it. Take only as much risk as needed to achieve your goals, in a cost-conscious manner. Tax sensitive and SRI (Socially Responsible Investments) are objectives when clients need and want them. 20+ years of experience and continual current research as well as collaboration with Commonwealth and Fidelity Institutional gives our clients a depth and breadth of experience that is hard to match.


Risk Management

We worry. We worry about financial risks that can derail clients lives. There are six broad categories of risk. We have a lot of control over some: e.g., how much we save and spend. We some control over many: e.g., our health and year of retirement. We have little to no control over most of them. e.g., how long we live, financial markets, the health of our employer, the cost of groceries, and tax policy. So, what to do? We develop options for clients to manage these risks in their lives. Working step-by-step with clients at their pace, we develop choices to address these risks in their financial lives. The choices are tailored to each person's financial circumstances, temperament and stage of life. Our requirement is that clients consider and choose a course of action for each risk that works best for them; Even if that choice is to do nothing.
