About The Burney Company

The Burney Company is an equity research and investment management firm that seeks to maximize long-term returns through the use of proprietary fundamental quantitative techniques and analysis. Founded in 1974 by Brig. General Jack Burney who pioneered work in this area beginning in the early 1950s, Burney expanded from its Falls Church headquarters to offices around the country.

We combine state-of-the art analysis, decades of experience, and old-fashioned personal service to deliver exceptional returns. We seek to exploit persistent market inefficiencies, or market pricing “mistakes.” We are experts at identifying undervalued stocks. Our dynamic library contains over two thousand factors fundamentally measuring five key company elements: Growth, Valuation, Profitability, Safety and Technical attributes. Burney's systematic, analytical approach, developed over the past 50 years, identifies opportunities and provides an effective way to enhance long-term return.

Burney Investment Services, Inc. is an affiliate of The Burney Company, an SEC-registered investment advisor. We have helped guide investors through booms and busts, recessions and expansions. You have dreams to achieve...ambitions to realize. Perhaps you desire a comfortable retirement, an outstanding education for your children, or simply the opportunity to strengthen your financial position. Whatever your long-term goals, we are here to help you meet them.

My Services

Portfolio Management

Do you have (1) the desire, (2) the time (No matter how much money you have, you can’t buy more time), (3) the knowledge and (4) the temperament to manage your investments? If not we should find out if you can be philosophically comfortable with us and if we, in turn, can be confident we can be of assistance to you and your family and that you are a suitable fit for us. Studies show that investors who engage advisors achieve significantly greater wealth versus non-advised investors - Aon Hewitt, 2010 We not only work to build your investment portfolio during your accumulation years, we will help you get the best bang for the buck when you retire and begin your drawdown years.

401K Rollovers

While you are working we encourage you to fully participate in your company’s 401k plan to at least the level of company matching. When you leave a company or retire, we strongly recommend that you roll your 401k account into a managed IRA offering greater options and flexibility.

Insurance Planning

We do not sell insurance products. But we do take your insurance coverage into consideration when evaluating your family’s overall financial situation.
