Business Description |
Based on a CPA firm background and 25 years of making investment and financial planning recommendations I specialized in a "participate yet protect" philosophy. I seek investments that offer long term excess returns (Alpha) vs. risk (Beta) with stable management.
I seek low investor costs in a diversified portfolio based on your needs and risk profile. With just the facts not a sales pitch I educate clients on the pros and cons of various investment alternatives and actively monitor results. I update you on changing market conditions and suggest adjustments as the investment outlook changes. Portfolios are not static but should be dynamic ? changing with market conditions.
As a trusted advisor, I give you the facts as an RIA to help you make important investment decisions based on my analytical CPA firm background not impressive salesmanship.
I provide easy to understand tracking, charting and performance reporting per investment compared to indexes to monitor performance. |

| Additional Details on Charges: |
While an option we usually do not charge asset management fees, which we believe is the most expensive way to get investment advice. We don't have expensive offices and art work, instead we charge reasonable fees for independent professional advice. A typical advisory fee to provide an extensive evaluation of your current portfolio including risk/reward assessment compared to our benchmarks and our recommendations is only $500. Our fees always come with a "satisfaction guarantee? No cost intro.

Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy? |
| |
Yes - if you don't think the service was worth the nominal fee, you don't pay. Never has happened in over 25 yrs. |
|
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? What is your education background? |
| |
CPA firm background, degree in Accounting, Over 25years of looking out for the investor based on facts not a sales pitch, independent from any product sponsor.
Owned a broker-dealer with about 100 reps in six states but sold to be more hands on with clients. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to financial planning? |
| |
How to meet your financial goals, plan for retirement, participate yet protect investment strategies. |
|
| Q. |
What services do you offer? |
| |
Comprehensive Financial Planning and/or Investment recommendations from our own independent Registered Investment Advisory firm, Hutchison Investment Advisor's, Inc. |
|
| Q. |
Will you be the only person working with me? |
| |
Yes although have associates in specialty areas can bring in for example related to Medicare Plans, Long-Term Care etc using the same comparison approach to find the best solution for a client's needs. |
|
| Q. |
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services? |
| |
Instead of a 1-2% fee which is the most expensive way to get investment advice we charge a one-time for life $500 Advisory fee and can implement using lowest cost A shares which is far better for the client than ongoing advisory fees. |
|
| Q. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? |
| |
Yes, we do not take discretionary accounts. You always approve whatever we do on your behalf. |
|
| Q. |
Do you offer any guaranteed results? |
| |
No one can gurantee any future investment results that would be fraud. We look at past performance of managers with long term proven track records and positive Alpha's (excess return for the risk taken).
Past performance never guarantees future results but it is better than long term poor performance in selecting a diversified portfolio to meet your investment objectives. |
|
| Q. |
How much risk should I be willing to take? |
| |
Depends on your financial goals. Most folks need some long-term growth which always has short-term risks. We utilize a "participate yet protect" strategy based on your goals and comfort levels with different strategies. |
|
| Q. |
Have you ever been charged with any breaches? |
| |
No. The disclosure item on FINRA record from 1980's is because I FOLLOWED industry ethical standards when a former firm didn't want me to disclose the broker-dealer relationship which I did. Soon after it became a NASD requirement. I followed ethical practices which a former firm didn't agree with which is why I left. |
|
| Q. |
What services do you provide? What are your specialties? |
| |
Investment advice based on 25 years of side by side comparisons coming from an analytical CPA firm background not sales hype. |
|
| Q. |
What financial institution(s) do you represent? |

Securities through Multi-Financial Securities Corporation, an ING Company but no incentive or pressure to sell any ING products. The RIA is totally independent from any sponsor. We have vast resources of ING available without any disadvantages and maintain independent product selection. We clear via Pershing the largest clearing firm in the U.S. |
|
| Q. |
How do you charge for your services? |
| |
Flat RIA fee of $500. No asset management fees which is a very expensive way to get investment advice. If you choose to implement we act as a broker and use lowest cost A shares with appropriate break-points, which is the best option for clients. |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide a free initial consultation? |
| |
Yes as well as extensive review of current investments comparing to our benchmarks with data supplied by Morningstar, respected independent firm. |
|
| Q. |

Same as with personal accounts, set up in self directed IRA's with investment recommendations chosen from our "benchmarks" to best meet your financial objectives and risk tolerance. |
|
| Q. |
How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take? |
| |
Depends on how fast the employer makes direct distribution to IRA. We can set up IRA on line with immediate account opening. |
|

What financial institutions do you represent? |
| |
The Registered Investment Advisor is independent of any particular sponsor or institution. |
|
| Q. |
How many years of experience do you have? |
