Business Description |
We engage our clients in a series of Guided Conversations that create ideas and opportunities both in and beyond the investment realm. Because we ask questions that few others ask, our clients gain access to those unique ideas and opportunities, which might include access to people our clients need to meet, potential tax savings ideas, new business clients or anything else that our questions can generate. We are here to use our entire firm's resources of 55 staff members and network of ten thousand people to transform our clients' experience with a financial advisor for the better.
Our firm has been named of the Top 25 Entrepreneurs in Atlanta by Catalyst Magazine (Atlanta's business magazine because of this Guided Conversation), and have been featured twice in the New York Times, in the Wall Street Journal. |

Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy? |
| |
Yes. Our clients receive a refund of our asset management fees, measured from the day they give us notice they are terminating the relationship, as described in our ADV II form. |
|
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? What is your education background? |
| |
18 years of experience dealing quite intimately with hundreds of high net worth clients. I have a BA from the University of Virgina with a double major in English and Economics and Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from the University of Georgia School of Law. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to financial planning? |
| |
We have a structured set of questions that we call the Guided Conversation. Its an ongoing part of our relationship that generates Ideas and Opportunities that the client may not have thought about. |
|
| Q. |
What services do you offer? |
| |
Since we focus on the questions, we offer management of assets broadly defined to include all of the different kinds of wealth as we define wealth. We also offer introductions to our very large network of people who can help you with your life in so many ways. |
|
| Q. |
How many clients do you currently manage? |
| |
I personally work with a couple of dozen clients and our firm works with several hundred. |
|
| Q. |
Will you be the only person working with me? |
| |
We have a team of 55 people who provide a variety of services to our clients. The "Front Stage" people would include half a dozen people who would know your name and who you are. |
|
| Q. |
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services? |
| |
We have a flexible compensation scheudle depending on the clients' needs. Some of our clients write us a check for our services, and others pay us a fee for a percentage of their assets |
|
| Q. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? |
| |
No. That is impractical. You will, however, have clarity and process about the process we use to make decisions. |
|
| Q. |
Do you offer any guaranteed results? |
|
| Q. |
How much risk should I be willing to take? |
| |
Only as much risk that is necessary to create the funds to live the life we will help you define. |
|
| Q. |
Have you ever been charged with any breaches? |
|
| Q. |
What financial institution(s) do you represent? |
| |
Fidelity, Charles Schwab, TD Waterhouse, Securian |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide a free initial consultation? |
|
| Q. |
Why should I choose you as my financial advisor? |
| |
We are one of the few advisors where the entire firm uses one defined process we call the Guided Conversation that creates opportunities. Other firms generally have a person who does whatever he or she wants as long as it is legal. |
