Business Description |
| K.C. Capital Management is an investment advisory services firm that specializes in IRA's, 401k Rollovers, and Life and Annuity products. As an independent investment advisor representative my fiduciary duty is to the client. This means that my goals are alligned precisely with your goals, which serves to make sure that all products recommended to you are suitable for your personal financial situation. For investment advisory services, I offer products through SCF Investment Advisors, and utilize several different companies for asset management. These asset managers have negotiated with independent financial advisors like myself to offer funds that would be out of reach for any other advisor. For example, with a minimum investment of $250,000, I have access to funds that would normally require up to $30 million to invest in were you to approach them invidually. However, if you work with me, I am able to grant you access to these managers. The managers have been thoroughly researched by my asset management company, and are constantly being analyzed for performance and consistency. Simply all that means is that the more money I make for you, in turn, the more I make for myself, which I hope is what you would place as a number one priority when choosing your advisor. For life and annuity products, I offer over 30 different major insurers that allow me to choose only the best products for my clients. |

Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? What is your education background? |
| |
I hold a Series 65, and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics with a minor Mathematics from Centre College, a top 50 liberal arts institution in the U.S. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to financial planning? |
| |
Offer the best financial products out there, and everyone will be satisfied. |
|
| Q. |
What services do you offer? |
| |
I offer fee-baed mutual fund and ETF portfolio management, both for retirement and portfolio management, as well as insurance products from over 30 major insurers. |
|
| Q. |
Will you be the only person working with me? |
|
| Q. |
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services? |
| |
I am compensated on 401k rollovers and IRA's through 1% of assets paid quarterly up to $500,000, and 0.75% above $500,000 and 0.5% above $1,000,000. |
|
| Q. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? |
| |
I do not trade on a discretionary basis. My job is in allocating your portfolio "efficiently." |
|
| Q. |
Do you offer any guaranteed results? |
| |
Only on fixed indexed annuities, and no advisor can actually do this through mutual funds. |
|
| Q. |
How much risk should I be willing to take? |
| |
A quite loaded question that I will only be able to answer after the initial consultation. |
|
| Q. |
Have you ever been charged with any breaches? |
|
| Q. |
What services do you provide? What are your specialties? |
| |
I provide portfolio management, including retirement planning and estate advisors. I mainly add value in formulating an "efficient" portfolio, which may include using insurance products. |
|
| Q. |
What is your experience? How many clients do you currently manage? |
| |
I managed money for 5 years, and the last two years have been as a professional. |
|
| Q. |
What financial institution(s) do you represent? |
| |
I offer investment advisory services through SCF Investment Advisors, but I am an independent financial advisor not obligated to fulfill quotas or sell firm-specific mutual funds. |
|
| Q. |
How do you charge for your services? |
| |
Usually 1% of assets paid quarterly, or 0.25% per quarter. There may be a little bit of mutual fund and asset manager fees, but they are not usually that big. |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide a free initial consultation? |
| |
Always. The initial consultaton is mainly a fact finding meeting, with the second no-charge meeting being my presentation for your portfolio. |
|
| Q. |
Why should I choose you as my financial advisor? |
| |
Many advisors can "diversify" your assets, but they are missing the efficient allocation of your portfolio. This is maximizing returns for a given level of risk. That's where my highest value as an advisor can be added. |
|
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? |
| |
I hold a Series 65, and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics with a minor Mathematics from Centre College, a top 50 liberal arts institution in the U.S. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers? |
| |
I assess an individual's pesonal circumstances, and I create proposals that maximize returns while minimizing risk. The reason you hear that most managers underperform is because many advisors don't have the capacity to create those kind of proposals. |
|
| Q. |
How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take? |
| |
Assuming after the initial consultation, and after I've presented my recommendations to you, it depends on your financial institution. I fill out the paperwork, and it should be about 1-2 weeks from the time it's received. |
|
| Q. |
What financial institutions do you represent? |
| |
I offer investment advisory services through SCF Securities, and I use Envestnet Asset Management as my portfolio management company. |
|
| Q. |
How many years of experience do you have? |
| |
I have managed money for over 5 years now, and about 2 years as a professional. |
|
| Q. |
What are your fees for this service? |
| |
Usually 1% of assets paid quarterly, or 0.25% per quarter. There may be a little bit of mutual fund and asset manager fees, but they are not usually that big. |
|
| Q. |
Why should I roll over my 401K plan to your firm? |
| |
My firm offers the best managers in the country. For example, for an average $100,000 account, I offer managers that normally require $10 million to invest with. If you're working with another advisor the fact that the best asset managers aren't available to you should tell you immediately that they cannot possibly offer you the best portfolio. |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide a free initial consultation? |
| |
Always. The initial consultaton is mainly a fact finding meeting, with the second no-charge meeting being my presentation for your portfolio. |
