Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? What is your education background? |
| |
I am a Certifed Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to financial planning? |
| |
To develop a thorough understanding of the clients current financial situation, along with their dreams, goals, and concerns. I then develop a plan to give the client the highest probability of meeting their most important financial goals, with the least amount of risk. |
|
| Q. |
What services do you offer? |
| |
Financial, retirement, investment, and estate planning. Investment management via no load mutual funds, index funds, professional portfolio managers, and annuities. |
|
| Q. |
How many clients do you currently manage? |
|
| Q. |
Will you be the only person working with me? |
| |
I will be the only planner you work with, however you will also work with my two assistants on administrative matters. |
|
| Q. |
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services? |
| |
I am compensated by an all inclusive annual advisory fee. This fee covers all services, as well as trading. It can range from .75% to 1.75% per year, depending on the types of accounts we use and the amount of money managed. |
|
| Q. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? |
| |
I work with each client indivually. Many of my clients prefer that we manage their portfolios on a discretionary basis, but we have a number of clients that prefer to be consulted each time an investment is bought or sold. I will do whatever makes the client most comfortable. |
|
| Q. |
Do you offer any guaranteed results? |
|
| Q. |
How much risk should I be willing to take? |
| |
That depends on your age, your income needs, your risk tolerance, and the return you need to earn in order to meet your goals. My philosphy is to take the least amount of risk necessary to meet your goals. |
|
| Q. |
Have you ever been charged with any breaches? |
| |
Yes. I have had two customer complaints over the last 18 years. Both were settled to the client's satisfaction. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers? |
| |
I guide the client through every step of the rollover process to help make sure everything is done correctly, and no taxes are withheld or owed. I also will help make sure that you have a retirement plan distribution strategy to help you take the income you need from your rollover while minimizing taxes and avoiding penalties. |
