I am a Chartered Financial Consultant and Series 6, 63 and 65 licensed. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers? |
| |
Most importantly is the client's age and years to retirement. Once that is determined, I work with the client to determine their risk tolerance, which helps to identify asset allocation models. Finally, we discuss the relative merits of various products available to roll the 401-k over to. The discussion also involves tax and inheritance (such as a Stretch IRA) issues. |
|
| Q. |
How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take? |
| |
Generally, no more than two weeks. |
|
| Q. |
What financial institutions do you represent? |
| |
I use metLife Securities as my Broker Dealer and utilize funds and management companies such as Fidelity, American Funds, Blackrock, Managers' Choice, Curian Capital, Lockwood among many others. |
|
| Q. |
What are your fees for this service? |
| |
Fee based or commission, depending on the products used. |
|
| Q. |
Why should I roll over my 401K plan to your firm? |
| |
This is most likely the largest check you will ever receive. You owe it to yourself to explore all of the options available to you as well as, to put in place a strategy that makes certain you will be able to live the kind of life in retirement that you have spent years working towards. |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide a free initial consultation? |
| |
There is no cost or obligation for the initial meeting. This is a chance for you to get to know me and my firm and for me to understand your needs. |
