Brent Brodeski
Chief Executive Officer / Financial Advisor
Brent earned a B.S. degree in finance and economics and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. He is a co-founder of Zero Alpha Group, and a co-founder of the Alliance for RIAs, a prestigious industry group that together manages nearly $50 billion. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and serves on the boards of the Northern Illinois University Foundation and the Rock Valley College Foundation.
Brent was named by Chicago magazine as the #1 independent financial advisor for the Chicagoland area in 2009 and one of the nation's top professional advisors by J.K. Lasser. He represented Savant for the 7th year on Barron's list of the "Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors" in the country and in 2017 was ranked by Forbes as #40 on their top 250 wealth advisors list. From 1997 until the survey ended in 2008, Brent appeared on Robb Report Worth magazine's "The Nation's 100 Most Exclusive Wealth Advisors" list. In 2011, Brent was named the nation's 10th "Most Experienced Independent Financial Advisor" by Bloomberg Businessweek. He was named "one of the 17 people advisors should watch in 2017" by Financial Planning magazine. He is a regular columnist for Financial Planning magazine, and is recurrently featured in local, industry, and national media including the Wall Street Journal and Barron's.
Brent enjoys traveling, wine, collecting art, boating, fine dining, and spending time with family and friends at their lake house in Lake Geneva, WI. During the 2020 pandemic he became a level 3 sommelier.
Robert Morrison
Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer
Rob has been involved in the financial services industry since 2000. He served as president of Huber
Financial Advisors from 2012 until it joined with Savant in 2020 and has been coaching clients since
2001. Rob earned a bachelor's degree in business with a minor in communications from DePaul
University. He co-authored the book Victory Lap Retirement, second edition.
Rob donates his time as an appointed director of the Western Golf Association, which administers the
Evans Scholars Foundation, a private charity that provides full college scholarships to caddies. He also
serves as a mentor at Buffalo Grove High School's entrepreneurship program.
Rob and his wife Emily have three children and two (mostly amenable) dogs. They enjoy trips to
Michigan, sports, theater, and music.
Dennis Covington
Managing Director
Dennis has been involved in the financial services industry since 1992. He served as CEO of Capital
Directions until it joined with Savant in 2023. Prior to joining Capital Directions, Dennis was a senior
institutional consultant with TIAA and a staff accountant with KPMG.
Dennis earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Appalachian State University. He is an active
participant in Vistage, a CEO coaching and peer advisory organization, and serves on the Appalachian
State University Foundation Board.
Dennis is an active member of Alpharetta (GA) Methodist Church and a supporter of North Fulton
Community Charitie' Circle of Hope. Dennis and his wife Katherine have two children. In their free time,
they enjoy golf, snow skiing, and supporting the App State Mountaineers and Clemson Tigers.
Will Gunlicks
Financial Advisor / Team Lead
Will has been involved in the financial services industry since 2003. He worked for Huber Financial Advisors from 2014 until it joined with Savant in 2020. Prior to joining Huber Financial Advisors, he worked at several nationally recognized and smaller boutique firms.
Will earned a bachelorâs degree in business administration with a minor in economics from the University of Denver and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with his wife and their three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, fly fishing, traveling, and the outdoors.
Allison Alexander
Financial Advisor
Allison specializes in working with people undergoing significant transitions, e.g., retiring, losing a spouse, experiencing divorce, or selling a business. She helps each client create their "new normal" and become comfortable with a new comprehensive financial plan. Allison is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding.
Allison has been involved in the financial services industry since 1985. She is a founding member of Cents of Self, an initiative that inspires, informs, and empowers women to pursue their best financial futures. Prior to joining Savant, Allison gained financial reporting experience in public accounting and private industry. After her tenure at a "Big Eight" firm, she managed the financial reporting team for an insurance company in Chicago.
Allison graduated with high distinction (top 10%) from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and earned a bachelorâs degree in accounting. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®). Allison is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois Certified Public Accountant Society, and the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts.
Allison serves as a board member of the Cedar Point Park Association in Williams Bay, WI and is an active member of the Rockford Garden Club, the Winnebago County Medical Society Alliance, and the Union League Club of Chicago.
Richard Brown

Rick has been involved in the financial services industry since 2008. Prior to joining Savant, he was a wholesaler with a national investment and commercial real estate institution, where he partnered with financial advisors and their clients to implement retirement income strategies. Rick received repeated recognition for achievements and was relied upon as a trusted educator to both brokers and their clients.
Rick earned a bachelor of arts degree in business with a focus on finance from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Rick is married to Nicole and has three children, Noah, Avery, and Claire. He volunteers with many of the childrenâs programs at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. He enjoys playing golf, travel, boating, and spending time with his family. Rick is an avid Chicago sports fan.
Cory Buehler

Cory has been involved in the financial services industry since 2014. Prior to joining Savant, he was a retirement plan advisor for a nationwide registered investment advisory firm, where he gained significant experience working with and managing retirement plan services for business owners and plan sponsors.
Cory earned a bachelor of arts degree in personal financial planning from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO, where he played Division I volleyball. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠ (CRPS®), and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®).
Cory was born and raised in St. Louis and moved to Chicago in 2019. He enjoys staying active by working out and playing as many sports as possible. International travel is a recent hobby, and Cory plans to visit one new country each year. He and his father are avid Kansas City Chiefs fans and watched them win Super Bowl LIV in Miami in 2020.
Donald Duncan

Don focuses on high income and high net worth clients who have complex financial planning, tax planning, estate planning, and portfolio management needs. Don's goal is to generate value for his clients by helping to reduce uncertainty associated with planning for the future. He has been involved in the financial services industry since 1980. Don began his career with a 16-year stint at Northern Trust Company, ultimately managing over $8 billion in various mutual funds and as division manager, helped manage the risk of a $50 billion investment management department. He brings an evidence-based, risk management oriented, institutional perspective to investment management and a goals-based, common-sense approach to financial planning. As a CPA, Don also focuses significant effort on minimizing the tax drag on clients' financial plans. Don founded D3 Financial Counselors and operated the firm until it joined with Savant in 2018.
Don earned a bachelor's degree with a triple major in finance, operations management, and human resources management and a minor in economics from Illinois State University. He earned a master of business administration degree in marketing from DePaul University.
Don is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and attained the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential, issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning® (CSEP). Gabriel Gonzalez

He particularly enjoys discussing multi-generational wealth planning, tax-efficient investing, and wealth accumulation strategies.

Gabe is a regular guest speaker for corporations, foundations, civic organizations, and professional associations. Some of his public speaking topics include wealth disparity and asset building, maximizing Social Security benefits, and portfolio distribution strategies in retirement.
Outside of work, Gabe can be found on a tennis court, at the local CrossFit gym, or outdoors with his family. He was raised in Florida and has been a resident of the Chicago metro area for nearly 20 years. He resides in St. Charles with his wife and two children.
