Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
Summary:
Advisors with this credential have taken a 75-hour course, passed an exam, and taken continuing education courses. A ChFC must complete several years’ worth of examinations and training, and has knowledge of estate, tax, portfolio management and financial planning concepts. Holders of this designation often come from the insurance industry. Includes all CFP coursework, as well as additional courses covering estate, retirement and financial planning.
