Summary: Advisor must have at least three years of financial planning experience, and have earned a bachelor's degree in finance, tax or financial services OR have obtained a CPA, law degree, MBA, PhD, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or a Master's degree in a related field. Candidates must then complete an examination, agree to a code of ethics, and complete 15 hours of continued education a year.
