Portfolio Management
Our Discretionary Portfolio Management Program is designed for clients who have delegated fiduciary responsibility to our firm and want professional, ongoing investment management aligned with their goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. Under this program, clients grant us discretionary authority to manage their portfolios, allowing us to make timely investment decisions without prior approval for each transaction. As a fiduciary, we are legally obligated to act in our clients' best interests, and portfolios are managed in accordance with the client's Investment Policy Statement. We offer a range of model portfolios, including Aggressive Growth, Growth, Dividend, Balanced, and Fixed Income, which are selected and customized based on each client's objectives and risk profile. Portfolios are continuously monitored, rebalanced, and adjusted as market conditions or client circumstances change. We also utilize downside-mitigation strategies, including stop-loss disciplines and hedging techniques, when appropriate, to help manage risk and reduce portfolio volatility. Portfolio management is integrated with broader financial planning when applicable.
Financial Planning for Businesses
We provide planning services for business owners focused on cash flow management, liquidity planning, and aligning business finances with personal wealth objectives. Our approach includes cash management strategies, investment planning for excess business capital, and coordination with tax and legal advisors. We also assist with exit planning to help business owners prepare for the eventual sale, succession, or transition of their business. This includes evaluating exit options, planning for tax efficiency, addressing liquidity needs, and coordinating timing with retirement and estate planning goals. All strategies are delivered within a fiduciary framework and tailored to the specific needs of the business and its owners.
Financial Planning for Individuals
We work with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, engineers, educators, professionals, and affluent retirees. Our services are tailored to clients with complex financial needs who value comprehensive planning, disciplined investment management, and a fiduciary approach to wealth management.
Financial Advice & Consulting
We provide objective financial advice and consulting designed to help clients make informed decisions across all aspects of their financial lives. Our services include guidance on cash flow, investments, retirement planning, tax strategy coordination, estate planning coordination, and risk management. Advice is delivered within a fiduciary framework and tailored to each client's goals, circumstances, and complexity. We work collaboratively with clients and their other professional advisors to ensure financial decisions are aligned, coordinated, and consistent with long-term objectives.
Retirement Planning
Our retirement planning process is designed to help clients move from accumulation to income with a clear, disciplined strategy. We focus on creating sustainable retirement income while managing investment risk, taxes, and long-term financial goals. Key areas include retirement income and cash-flow planning, Social Security optimization, tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, portfolio risk management, and planning for healthcare and long-term care expenses. Retirement planning is ongoing and is reviewed regularly as markets, tax laws, and client circumstances change. Our Customized Financial Success System® is an integrated framework that coordinates all aspects of a client's financial life. It is built on three core components: comprehensive financial planning, discretionary portfolio management, and retirement and income strategies. Together, these components align investments with goals, manage risk, and support long-term financial confidence. Through this system, portfolio management is integrated with tax planning, estate planning coordination, and income strategies to ensure all decisions work together. By combining planning, asset management, and income strategies into a single, coordinated process, the Customized Financial Success System® provides a structured, fiduciary-driven approach to retirement planning and long-term wealth management.
401K Rollovers
We assist clients in evaluating and executing 401(k)/403(B)/457 rollovers as part of a broader retirement and financial planning strategy. Our process helps determine whether rolling assets into an IRA or maintaining them in an employer-sponsored plan is appropriate based on the client's goals, investment options, costs, services, and distribution needs. When a rollover is appropriate, we coordinate the transfer to help ensure assets move in a tax-efficient manner and remain aligned with the client's investment strategy. Rolled assets are then managed within our discretionary portfolio management framework and integrated with retirement income planning, tax strategy, and risk management. We also evaluate factors such as required minimum distributions, creditor protection considerations, beneficiary planning, and ongoing investment oversight to ensure rollover decisions support long-term retirement objectives.
Insurance Planning
We provide guidance on life insurance, long-term care, and disability planning to help protect clients, their families, and their financial plans from unexpected events. Our approach focuses on evaluating coverage needs, policy structure, and cost efficiency in coordination with overall financial and estate planning objectives. We assist clients in assessing existing coverage, identifying gaps, and selecting appropriate solutions based on their goals and risk exposures. Planning in these areas is integrated with cash flow, tax considerations, and long-term planning and is reviewed periodically as circumstances change.
Annuities
When appropriate, we assist clients in evaluating and implementing variable, fixed, and fixed indexed annuities as part of a broader retirement and income planning strategy. These products are considered based on the client's objectives, income needs, risk tolerance, time horizon, and liquidity requirements. Annuities are evaluated for their role in providing income, managing risk, and supporting long-term planning goals, and are coordinated with the client's overall investment and financial plan.
Estate Planning & Trusts
Advanced Trust, Estate & Charitable Planning Coordination We assist clients with advanced trust and charitable planning by working closely with their estate planning attorneys and tax advisors to help ensure investment and gifting strategies align with overall estate objectives. Our role includes coordinating investment management within trusts, reviewing asset titling and beneficiary designations, and supporting tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies. We also assist clients with charitable planning, including the use of donor-advised funds, to help align philanthropic goals with tax planning and long-term financial objectives. All strategies are coordinated with the client's legal and tax professionals to ensure an integrated and efficient approach.
Tax Advice and Services
We design and manage tax-advantaged portfolios with a focus on improving after-tax returns and reducing unnecessary tax exposure. Strategies may include asset location, tax-efficient investment selection, tax-loss harvesting, and coordination of investment decisions across taxable and tax-advantaged accounts. We work closely with our clients' CPAs and tax advisors to ensure investment strategies are aligned with overall tax planning objectives. This collaborative approach helps integrate portfolio management with income planning, charitable strategies, and long-term tax considerations, while maintaining clear roles and responsibilities among advisors.
Education Funding and Planning
We assist families with establishing and managing 529 college savings plans as part of a broader financial planning strategy. Our approach focuses on selecting appropriate investment options, aligning contributions with education timelines, and coordinating 529 planning with overall cash flow and tax considerations. We help clients evaluate contribution strategies, beneficiary planning, and the potential tax advantages of 529 plans, while ensuring investment risk is appropriate as education expenses approach. 529 planning is monitored over time and adjusted as goals, timelines, or family circumstances change.
Investment Advice & Management
Investment Advice & Management Investment advice and management are the core of our business. We provide fiduciary, discretionary portfolio management designed to align client assets with long-term goals, risk tolerance, and income needs. Our investment process is integrated with financial planning, risk management, and tax considerations to support disciplined, long-term outcomes.
Wealth Management
Our holistic wealth management approach is designed to coordinate every aspect of a client's financial life into a single, cohesive strategy. We go beyond investment management by integrating financial planning, portfolio management, retirement and income planning, tax strategy coordination, estate planning coordination, and risk management. By viewing each component in context, we help ensure that decisions in one area support and do not conflict with others. Investment strategies are aligned with cash-flow needs, tax considerations, and long-term objectives, while risk is managed across the entire balance sheet rather than in isolation. Holistic wealth management is an ongoing process. Strategies are reviewed and adjusted as markets, tax laws, and client circumstances change, providing clients with a disciplined, fiduciary-driven framework designed to support long-term financial confidence.
Risk Management
We manage portfolio risk through disciplined diversification, hedging strategies, and stop-loss disciplines designed to help reduce volatility and manage downside risk. These tools are used within a fiduciary framework and applied based on each client's objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions. While no strategy can eliminate risk or prevent losses, our approach is focused on managing risk proactively and consistently.
Money Management
We provide comprehensive money management through discretionary managed portfolios tailored to each client's objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon. Portfolio management is complemented by integrated income planning and selective use of alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, and structured products, when appropriate. These strategies are used to enhance diversification, manage risk, and support long-term income and growth objectives. All investment decisions are made within a fiduciary framework and are aligned with the client's overall financial plan.
