Scott Wintersteen serves as a financial advisor in Savant's Lincolnshire, Illinois, office. A Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he has worked in the financial services industry since 2006. He joined Savant after building a corporate finance career focused on Treasury operations, including foreign exchange and commodity management, pension investments, insurance, and banking across major food and industrial companies.
Scott began his path in finance after earning a bachelor's degree in accounting from Purdue University. He maintains active membership with the CFA Society of Chicago.
Away from work, Scott enjoys golfing, skeet and trap shooting, traveling, and cheering on Purdue and Chicago sports teams. He lives in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, with his wife Erin and their two sons.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Brent is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding.
As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Brent has the training and experience to apply principles of fiduciary duty; understand, create, and implement comprehensive investment plans; provide asset allocation strategies; and evaluate investment options based on objective standards.
As a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®), Brent has the training and experience to provide support and guidance related to overall qualified plan management in key areas such as understanding the duties and responsibilities of a fiduciary, plan design, sponsor goals and objectives, investment management, participant outcomes, and service provider search and selection.
Prior to joining Savant, Brent was an advisor and shareholder of a Chicago area financial services firm for more than 20 years, where he served on the Executive Committee and Investment Committee and was the practice leader for Retirement Plan Services, providing qualified retirement plan consulting and fiduciary support to business clients.
Brent earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Northern Illinois University. He lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife Denise and their two sons. He enjoys golf, playing ice hockey, biking, snow skiing, and travel.

Jacob "JD" Danowski serves as a financial advisor in Savant's Lincolnshire, Illinois, office. Jacob helps business owners plan for life beyond their companies while working to strengthen the value of their organizations ahead of an eventual exit. He also guides individuals and families through a wide range of personal financial decisions.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Jacob provides holistic planning that includes wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax strategies, retirement cash flow planning, retirement income optimization, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
He entered the financial services industry in 2015. Before joining Savant, he worked in community bank securities sales and trading for an investment banking firm. His background also includes underwriting and sales roles in private mortgage insurance and commercial insurance.
Jacob earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, and now lives in Cary, Illinois. He enjoys golfing, fishing, hiking, traveling, trying new foods, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Douglas "Doug" Morton serves as a financial advisor in our Lincolnshire, Illinois, office. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he helps individuals and families navigate many aspects of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax strategies, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
Doug began his career in financial services in 2001 and joined Savant in 2020 following Huber Financial Advisors' transition to Savant. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and a certificate in financial planning from DePaul University in Chicago.
Based in the Chicago suburbs, Doug enjoys water skiing in the summer, playing ice hockey in the winter, and traveling with his wife and children.

Edward McDougal serves as a financial advisor in Savant's Lincolnshire, Illinois, office, where he focuses on valuesâbased financial planning for individuals, multigenerational families, and C-suite leaders. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he works closely with clients to align their financial strategies with their personal priorities, offering guidance across retirement and estate planning, income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
He provides comprehensive planning support rooted in a holistic understanding of each client's goals. Edward began his career in the financial services industry in 2019 and previously served as a client specialist for an international broker-dealer firm. Edward earned a bachelor's degree in international relations with a minor in economics from Wheaton College in Illinois.
Beyond his planning work, Edward is an active mentor and tutor and remains deeply committed to community involvement. He serves on the board of River City Community Development Center and volunteers as an usher for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra when it performs at his alma mater. He is also an engaged member of Lincoln Park Community Church.
A world traveler who has visited 64 countries, Edward enjoys connecting with people from different cultures, yet he especially values time spent in Chicago. He spends his weekends golfing, reading, and enjoying time with family and friends.
