Brent
Brent Brodeski
Chief Executive Officer / Financial Advisor

Brent earned a B.S. degree in finance and economics and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. He is a co-founder of Zero Alpha Group, and a co-founder of the Alliance for RIAs, a prestigious industry group that together manages nearly $50 billion. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and serves on the boards of the Northern Illinois University Foundation and the Rock Valley College Foundation. Brent was named by Chicago magazine as the #1 independent financial advisor for the Chicagoland area in 2009 and one of the nation's top professional advisors by J.K. Lasser. He represented Savant for the 7th year on Barron's list of the "Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors" in the country and in 2017 was ranked by Forbes as #40 on their top 250 wealth advisors list. From 1997 until the survey ended in 2008, Brent appeared on Robb Report Worth magazine's "The Nation's 100 Most Exclusive Wealth Advisors" list. In 2011, Brent was named the nation's 10th "Most Experienced Independent Financial Advisor" by Bloomberg Businessweek. He was named "one of the 17 people advisors should watch in 2017" by Financial Planning magazine. He is a regular columnist for Financial Planning magazine, and is recurrently featured in local, industry, and national media including the Wall Street Journal and Barron's. Brent enjoys traveling, wine, collecting art, boating, fine dining, and spending time with family and friends at their lake house in Lake Geneva, WI. During the 2020 pandemic he became a level 3 sommelier.

Robert
Robert Morrison
Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer

Rob has been involved in the financial services industry since 2000. He served as president of Huber Financial Advisors from 2012 until it joined with Savant in 2020 and has been coaching clients since 2001. Rob earned a bachelor's degree in business with a minor in communications from DePaul University. He co-authored the book Victory Lap Retirement, second edition.

Rob donates his time as an appointed director of the Western Golf Association, which administers the Evans Scholars Foundation, a private charity that provides full college scholarships to caddies. He also serves as a mentor at Buffalo Grove High School's entrepreneurship program.

Rob and his wife Emily have three children and two (mostly amenable) dogs. They enjoy trips to Michigan, sports, theater, and music.

Dennis
Dennis Covington
Managing Director

Dennis has been involved in the financial services industry since 1992. He served as CEO of Capital Directions until it joined with Savant in 2023. Prior to joining Capital Directions, Dennis was a senior institutional consultant with TIAA and a staff accountant with KPMG.

Dennis earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Appalachian State University. He is an active participant in Vistage, a CEO coaching and peer advisory organization, and serves on the Appalachian State University Foundation Board.

Dennis is an active member of Alpharetta (GA) Methodist Church and a supporter of North Fulton Community Charitie' Circle of Hope. Dennis and his wife Katherine have two children. In their free time, they enjoy golf, snow skiing, and supporting the App State Mountaineers and Clemson Tigers.

Timothy
Timothy Carpenter
Financial Advisor

Tim has been involved in the financial services industry since 2015. Prior to joining Savant, he was an associate advisor at a financial planning firm based in Phoenix, AZ. Before that, he was a sales team lead for BridgeFT, a firm that provides infrastructure for financial institutions.

Tim earned a bachelor of arts degree in finance from Illinois State University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional. He is a member of the Young Emerging Professionals group through the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

Tim and his wife Tessa have two children, Cal and Cora. They live in LaFox, IL with their dog Bo. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, getting together with friends, playing competitive men's basketball, and golfing. His newest hobby since moving to their new home is landscaping and giving the yard some much needed love.

Danielle
Danielle Dahn
Financial Advisor

Danielle has been involved in the financial services industry since 2002, always working in an advisory capacity focused on financial planning. She earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Illinois and a master of business administration degree in finance, accounting and management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional.

Danielle serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer, sworn in by a DuPage County judge, to advocate for an abused or neglected child's best interest. Professionally, Danielle is a member of the DuPage Estate Planning Council and serves as a co-chair of a local Chamber TEAM.

Danielle enjoys most anything that involves her two high school sons' activities - wrestling, gymnastics, debate team, and mock trial. As a family, they love spending time outdoors, athletics, and being on her parents' family farm in downstate Illinois. Danielle also has a very fond spot for her English bulldog and her many book clubs.

Nicholas
Nicholas De Jong
Financial Advisor

Nick has been involved in the financial services industry since 2013. Prior to joining Savant, he was a senior associate at a CPA firm where he worked closely with clients on their tax strategies and investment needs. Upon joining Savant, Nick completed Savant's Advisor Training Program, an in-depth program that allowed him to gain broad exposure to the foundational areas of Savant while acquiring valuable knowledge and experience.

Nick earned a bachelor of science degree in accountancy and a master of accounting science degree from Northern Illinois University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional, a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the DuPage Foundation Next Generation Initiative.

Nick and his wife Lauren have two sons, Luke and Mark. He enjoys volunteering, exploring the outdoors, tennis, golf, and coffee roasting. (Tip: If you are a coffee lover, just ask Nick to roast some fresh coffee beans for you.)

Kevin
Kevin Phillips
Financial Advisor

Kevin has been involved in the financial services industry since 2005. Prior to joining Savant, he was a senior financial advisor with an Illinois based wealth management and financial planning firm. There, he was a member of the firm's financial planning team and specialized in the development and implementation of wealth management strategies for his clients. In addition, Kevin's experience includes trading listed equities on the New York and NASDAQ stock exchanges for a firm based in Chicago. There he was a partner, senior equity trader, and trainer and was responsible for managing a team of traders.

Kevin graduated from Indiana University where he earned a degree in public finance. He earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Northwestern University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional. He is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the national Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the Financial Planning Association of Illinois Chapter.

Kevin serves as a director on the board and past treasurer of the St. Charles Education Foundation and as an elected trustee of the board for the DuPage Foundation, is a member of its executive committee, and chair of its investment committee. He is an active member of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Legacy Partners Council, the DuPage Foundation Next Generation Initiative, and the DuPage Estate Planning Council. He was recognized by the Kane County Chronicle as a 2017 "Best Under 40" recipient.
