About Steve Durdin
For more than three decades, I've helped individuals and families make confident, well-informed financial and risk-management decisions. I've seen how thoughtful planning can bring clarity, direction, and peace of mind, and how failing to prepare can have lasting consequences.
As a Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA®), I, along with my team, bring specialized expertise in one of the most important, and often misunderstood parts of retirement income planning. Social Security isn't just a monthly check; it's the foundation of a solid retirement strategy. We guide clients through complex rules, help them avoid costly mistakes, and work to optimize the lifetime benefits they've earned.
With additional credentials in long-term care (CLTC®), investments, and insurance, I offer objective, fiduciary-level advice alongside comprehensive risk-management solutions.
Our focus is on integrating Social Security, investments, insurance, and long-term care into one coordinated approach, so all the pieces of your financial life work together seamlessly.
Though I serve clients nationwide, my roots are in Tabernacle, NJ, where I live with my wife of more than 36 years, Julie and German Shepherd, Cooper.
Faith, family, and community inspire the work I do each day.
About Global View Capital
Your life and retirement plans are unique. We're here to help you feel confident as you enter the next season of life. Whether it's a la carte, or the full plan, we'll start where you need the help most.
With a combination of experience and expertise, terrific tools and technology, and some of the best solutions available in the industry, our financial planning process is thorough and unique. We take our time with each client, allowing client goals and data to lead the way in any recommendations and possible solutions.
Portfolio Management
Our firm has a unique blend of strategies with emphasis on a tactical approach to investing. This allows us to play both offense and defense while managing short and long-term risks. Because we focus our work on retirement income planning, capital preservation while leveraging opportunities in the market is important.
Retirement Planning
My approach to retirement planning is a very thorough "turn over every stone" as we examine every aspect of the client's financial situation. As a Registered Social Security Analyst, I always start with a detailed roadmap in this area then build from there. While investment strategy and income planning are a centerpiece to what we do, we also focus heavily on potential risks to the plan and then introduce strategies to reduce or eliminate that risk.
401K Rollovers
For most Americans, qualified retirement plans (401k, 403b, etc.) hold the majority of a person's savings and assets. We bring a fresh look to this critical piece of planning and examine ways to a) maximize the growth of the existing plan, and b) establish a smart distribution plan to make sure the tax implications are front and center as income needs are met. We have a full shelf of tools that allow us to excel in this area.
Insurance Planning
With a very strong background in insurance planning, I am positioned to handle all aspects of work in this area. With industry leading solutions at our fingertips for life, long-term care, and disability insurance programs, we focus on a needs analysis first and make sure it is part of a full financial plan so decisions aren't made in a vacuum.
Annuities
I believe that annuities are excellent tools to use when the circumstances and priorities of the client suggest this path as a possible option. There is no such thing as a "one size fits all" approach and, with outstanding options available across all fronts (investments, annuities, insurance), the best interest of each client leads the way.
Wealth Management
Our firm has a unique blend of strategies with emphasis on a tactical approach to investing. This allows us to play both offense and defense while managing short and long-term risks. Because we focus our work on retirement income planning, capital preservation while leveraging opportunities in the market is important.
Risk Management
During the financial planning process, we keep a very close eye on basic risks most pre-retirees and retirees should be focused on; longevity, liquidity, inflation, market (sequence of return), mortality, and taxes. A retirement income plan is simply not complete if it has ignored any of the potential "wrecking balls" that can suddenly ruin even the best-laid plans. With a very strong background in insurance plan and Certified in Long-Term Care, I have the ability to identify and manage risks as part of each plan that is prepared.
