Cliff Brockmann

Cliff saw how financial advising was done at an early age when he was in high school. His mother became a widow when he was a senior, and his sister was a freshman. His father was the sole earner in the house and after his passing it was a tough financial time. He learned the confidence his mother gained from having an advisor but also learned the costs not only of high fees but also poor advice. A flat fee structure eliminates many conflicts of interest, such as commission-based products or percentage-based fees, when there might be more suitable options. He believes financial advice is important to help individuals make big life decisions, but currently most of the industry does not utilize a flat fee model and still views advisors as salesmen rather than planners. This results in clients feeling they are being sold to rather than planned for. That's why his fees are transparent and easy to understand, since it is important to know you are getting what you paid for. He is bringing a new style of planning based around transparency and a holistic approach to financial planning not based upon product sales.
