My first job in the financial services industry was in the shareholder services department of Eaton Vance in Boston. I acted as the last line of defense for clients desperate for advice during the 2008 financial crisis. I could not believe there were so many people who could not get in contact with the advisor that sold them the mutual fund they were calling about, and I knew I wanted to change that. I thrived in that calamitous stock environment and enjoyed educating shareholders while talking them off the edge. That was when my true passion for the financial advisory world was born. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER" professional with our 67 year old family business at Bryant Asset Management, I personally advise about 150 local families and individuals. I am a member of the Capital District Financial Planning Association, a member of the Nex Gen Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy Board and a former treasurer of the board of directors of the Capital Alliance of Young Professionals. I graduated from Voorheesville HS and received a BA cum laude from Gettysburg College. My wife, Katie, and I live in Delmar. My big passions are golf, traveling and skiing. I share my passion for skiing by volunteering as a ski instructor at Double H Ranch. I believe it is almost impossible to have a completely objective view of your money, so I act as a 3rd party objective view for my clients.
