Coordinating complex financial lives with clarity and accountability
About Justin Hall, CFP®
Most of the people I work with aren't looking for more information, they're looking for clarity.
Financial decisions tend to become more complex during major transitions: selling a business, managing equity compensation, navigating a significant increase in income, or receiving an inheritance. In those moments, the challenge usually isn't access to advice, it's making sure every decision works together as part of a larger plan.
I'm a CFP® professional and Managing Partner of Good Life Private Wealth, a fee-only fiduciary firm based in Fort Worth. I work primarily with business owners, executives, and high-income professionals who want a more coordinated approach to investments, taxes, retirement planning, and major financial decisions.
Before becoming an advisor, I served as Vice President of Operations for one of my family's businesses, overseeing more than 50 employees. That experience continues to shape how I work with clients and think about complex financial decisions.
If your financial life feels more complex than coordinated, I'd be happy to connect.

Financial Advice & Consulting
Financial advice is centered on helping clients evaluate decisions and trade-offs across investments, taxes, and long-term planning. This often involves working alongside other advisors to ensure strategies remain aligned.
Portfolio Management
Portfolio management is approached as part of a broader financial strategy, not in isolation. 401K Rollovers
Guidance is provided on evaluating rollover options when leaving an employer, including staying in a plan, rolling to an IRA, or consolidating accounts. Decisions are made based on investment flexibility, fees, tax considerations, and long-term planning needs.
Insurance Planning
Insurance planning involves evaluating existing coverage and identifying gaps relative to a client's overall financial plan. The goal is to ensure appropriate protection without over- or under-insuring.
Annuities
Annuities are evaluated within the context of a broader financial plan. When appropriate, they may be considered as part of an income or risk management strategy, with careful review of costs, features, and trade-offs.
Estate Planning & Trusts
Estate planning focuses on aligning financial decisions with long-term transfer goals. This includes coordination with estate attorneys to ensure beneficiary designations, trust structures, and investment strategies work together effectively.
Tax Advice and Services
Tax planning is integrated into the overall financial strategy. This includes evaluating decisions before they are implemented, coordinating with CPAs, and focusing on managing tax exposure over time rather than reacting at year-end.
Education Funding and Planning
Education planning includes evaluating savings strategies such as 529 plans, assessing funding timelines, and balancing education goals with other financial priorities to ensure a coordinated approach.
Investment Advice & Management
Investment advice is provided within the context of a client's full financial picture. This includes portfolio construction, risk management, and ongoing oversight, with an emphasis on after-tax outcomes and long-term alignment.
Wealth Management
Wealth management involves coordinating investment strategy, tax considerations, estate planning, and risk management into a unified approach. The goal is to ensure financial decisions work together as part of a cohesive long-term strategy.
Risk Management
Risk management involves identifying potential risks to a client's financial plan and evaluating appropriate ways to address them. This may include insurance analysis, liability considerations, and broader planning strategies to protect against unexpected events.
Money Management
