Brent Brodeski
Chief Executive Officer / Financial Advisor
Brent earned a B.S. degree in finance and economics and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. He is a co-founder of Zero Alpha Group, and a co-founder of the Alliance for RIAs, a prestigious industry group that together manages nearly $50 billion. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and serves on the boards of the Northern Illinois University Foundation and the Rock Valley College Foundation.
Brent was named by Chicago magazine as the #1 independent financial advisor for the Chicagoland area in 2009 and one of the nation's top professional advisors by J.K. Lasser. He represented Savant for the 7th year on Barron's list of the "Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors" in the country and in 2017 was ranked by Forbes as #40 on their top 250 wealth advisors list. From 1997 until the survey ended in 2008, Brent appeared on Robb Report Worth magazine's "The Nation's 100 Most Exclusive Wealth Advisors" list. In 2011, Brent was named the nation's 10th "Most Experienced Independent Financial Advisor" by Bloomberg Businessweek. He was named "one of the 17 people advisors should watch in 2017" by Financial Planning magazine. He is a regular columnist for Financial Planning magazine, and is recurrently featured in local, industry, and national media including the Wall Street Journal and Barron's.
Brent enjoys traveling, wine, collecting art, boating, fine dining, and spending time with family and friends at their lake house in Lake Geneva, WI. During the 2020 pandemic he became a level 3 sommelier.
Robert Morrison
Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer
Rob has been involved in the financial services industry since 2000. He served as president of Huber
Financial Advisors from 2012 until it joined with Savant in 2020 and has been coaching clients since
2001. Rob earned a bachelor's degree in business with a minor in communications from DePaul
University. He co-authored the book Victory Lap Retirement, second edition.
Rob donates his time as an appointed director of the Western Golf Association, which administers the
Evans Scholars Foundation, a private charity that provides full college scholarships to caddies. He also
serves as a mentor at Buffalo Grove High School's entrepreneurship program.
Rob and his wife Emily have three children and two (mostly amenable) dogs. They enjoy trips to
Michigan, sports, theater, and music.
Dennis Covington
Managing Director
Dennis has been involved in the financial services industry since 1992. He served as CEO of Capital
Directions until it joined with Savant in 2023. Prior to joining Capital Directions, Dennis was a senior
institutional consultant with TIAA and a staff accountant with KPMG.
Dennis earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Appalachian State University. He is an active
participant in Vistage, a CEO coaching and peer advisory organization, and serves on the Appalachian
State University Foundation Board.
Dennis is an active member of Alpharetta (GA) Methodist Church and a supporter of North Fulton
Community Charitie' Circle of Hope. Dennis and his wife Katherine have two children. In their free time,
they enjoy golf, snow skiing, and supporting the App State Mountaineers and Clemson Tigers.
Philip Corcoran
Financial Advisor / Managing Director
Phil has been involved in the financial services industry since 1992. He founded a company to develop software applications and services to improve stock-based compensation decision-making for financial advisors and their clients. He served as president of The Corcoran Group in Bethesda, MD, until its acquisition by Savant in 2015. Prior to his work in financial services, Phil built a distinguished career in the United States Navy. As a Naval Intelligence Officer, he served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D Eisenhower during Operation Desert Shield, was an Asia-Pacific research analyst for the Defense Intelligence Agency, and served in the National Military Joint Intelligence Center for The Joint Chiefs of Staff Intelligence Staff. Phil was honored as a recipient of The Defense Meritorious Service Medal and named Defense Intelligence Agency's Analyst Producer of the Year.
Phil earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from the U.S. Naval Academy and was a member of The Commandantâs List. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a member of the Financial Planning Association. Phil and his wife Stacey have three children. He is a yoga practitioner, golfer, beginner pianist, and an Ironman 70.3 triathlon finisher.
Joel Cundick
Financial Advisor
Joel has been involved in the financial services industry since 2004, after beginning his career in corporate finance with a Fortune 500 company. Prior to joining Savant, he worked at a Registered Investment Advisor firm in Rockville, MD, and then served as vice president of The Corcoran Group in Bethesda from 2008 until its acquisition by Savant in 2015.
Joel graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in business management (finance) from Brigham Young University and was a National Merit and Ezra Taft Benson Scholar there. He earned his Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), and an Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor℠ (APMA®). He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, has been quoted in Forbes, US News & World Report, and Washingtonian magazine, and has been a repeat guest on Federal News Radio. Joel serves as president of the Washington, DC chapter of the BYU Management Society. He regularly teaches seminars on preparing for retirement to Federal employees through the National Institute of Transition Planning.
Joel and his wife Kristin have four children. He enjoys the outdoors in all forms and is a student of American History, particularly the Civil War period. He adores Italian culture and cuisine and speaks the language fluently. He enjoys racquetball, hiking, and cycling.
David McCormick-Goodhart
Financial Advisor
David has been involved in the financial services industry since 2005. Prior to joining Savant, he was a senior tax accountant at an accounting firm and a financial advisor at a wealth management firm in the Greater Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
David earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a masterâs degree in business administration from Mount St. Mary's University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
David serves on the board of directors of both the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce and the Metropolitan Ballet Theatre & Academy. He is a member of the AICPA and the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
In his spare time, David enjoys family walks with his wife and son, exploring new restaurants, and collecting vintage video games and vinyl records.
Aaron Pearson

Aaron has been involved in the financial services industry since 2016. Prior to joining Savant, he was an associate advisor for an RIA Firm based in Seattle. Before that, he was a teller, loan officer, and member service representative for Mountain America Credit Union and KeyBank.
Aaron earned a bachelor of science degree in personal financial planning with minors in business management and accounting from Utah Valley University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Aaron and his wife Stephanie have two sons, Oliver and Matthew. He loves to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, fishing, and kayaking. He also enjoys playing the piano, reading, cheering for the Utah Jazz and Boston Celtics, and watching a good movie.
Ambari Pinto
Financial Advisor
Ambari has been involved in the financial services industry since 2011. She is a member of Cents of Self, an initiative that inspires, informs, and empowers women to pursue their best financial futures. Prior to joining Savant, Ambari worked with wealth managers, accountants, and in the insurance industry. She has actively promoted the development of financial literacy programs with non-profit organizations. During her career as a corporate attorney, Ambari was an associate at a law firm in Washington, DC and New York, working on mergers, acquisitions, and securities offerings, then in-house counsel for a technology start-up in Northern Virginia.
Ambari earned a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in Spanish from the University of Vermont, a program of study that included one year at the University of Barcelona. She earned a juris doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a certificate in financial planning from Georgetown University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Ambari is conversant in Spanish and Hindi. She is a trustee on the board of the Arlington Community Foundation and a member of its Finance Committee. She is a member of Mothers of North Arlington, a social and support group with community service opportunities for families. She volunteers as a pro bono financial advisor through Family Reach, a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial knowledge to those enduring cancer.
Ambari and her husband have one daughter. The family enjoys traveling, skiing, playing tennis, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends.
