  • What are your qualifications? What is your education background? While in college studying Business Management I worked for an Insurance Agency. After graduating I continued to help individuals and families with their medical benefits. I then took a class on taxes/prepare taxes and prepared tax returns for 8 years. In 2004, I started learning about the financial services industry and obtained my Series 7 (General Securities Representative Exam) license in 2006 and Series 66 (Fee-Based Investment Advisor Exam). With my background with taxes and medical benefits I'm able to help clients with multiple challenges they face while leading up to retirement and in retirement.
  • What is your approach to financial planning? Plan first and foremost. Without a plan I feel an advisor cannot truly help his or her client and may just be trying to push a sale. After the plan is complete the investment selection is just as important. We incorporate decades of Nobel Prize winning economic research (Dr. Harry Markowitz (Nobel Prize in 1990) and Eugene Fama (Nobel Prize in 2013) in our portfolios. This academic approach uses asset class investing with diversification and re-balancing all while keeping the expenses low.

Jeffrey M. Kropp

Jeff joined Sherpa Financial with a new found excitement for both his clients and himself after 10 years as a financial advisor with another local firm. Jeff brings with him a background of planning with an emphasis on the big picture and the correlations between long term tax planning and wealth management.

His primary focus is financial planning for those in, or nearing retirement. His clients benefit from the caring and careful manner in which he approaches financial planning by addressing lifetime income solutions first, and crafting a plan around the goals and needs of each client. Jeff graduated from West Chester University with a BS degree in Business Management. He has been a speaker at many educational workshops.

Jeff currently resides in West Grove with his wife Honey Beth, and their son, Braydon, and daughter, Emerson. He enjoys the occasional round of golf, trips to the shore with his family, and time spent as a coach of his son's hockey and soccer teams.
