Ryan Joelson
CFA, CFP, CMFC, CPA, CRPC
As an experienced executive, Chief Operating Officer Mr. Joelson's primary responsibilities include oversight and effective operation of the firm and its staff, budgeting and growth planning, due diligence, client relations and service inquiries, ongoing analysis of market trends and the corresponding effect on investment assets with participation on the investment committee and finally general supervision of the firms processes and procedures.
Mr. Joelson is a Yale University graduate who has obtained his CPA and is a CFA Charterholder. Ryan is a Senior Executive with over 22 years of asset management experience ranging from operational management and process improvement, financial advisory services, tax consultation, portfolio management, and product development. Ryan's expertise has been widely utilized throughout the financial industry over the years and can be found in publicly available investment products offered by household names such as Invesco and Nuveen.
Jason Cerniglia
CFP, CRPC, CMFC
Jason Cerniglia is in his 21st year working as a Financial Advisor. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with degrees in Finance and Public Relations, he started out as a Financial Advisor at Smith Barney in Boston, MA. In 2004, Jason and his team began to sense that the brokerage only model was not the best way to serve our clients. On January 5th, 2005, Jason and his team transitioned to Ameriprise Financial and he became a franchise owner in September of 2007. Over the course of the last 19 years, Jason has earned numerous professional designations and awards. Currently, as a Private Wealth Advisor, Jason and his team are considered one of the top 30 advisory teams (nationally) at Ameriprise. Coastal Wealth Management has also been recognized by Barrons, Forbes, and the Financial Times as one of the top financial planning and asset teams in the nation.
As a Certified Financial Planner and CEO of Coastal Wealth Management, Jason focuses on financial planning, retirement distribution planning, and investment management for his clients. Jasons clients include (but are not limited to) executives at many of our local fortune 500 companies, business owners, and family trusts. Jason also oversees Coastal Wealth Managements Investment Policy Board. The board works directly with Ameriprises investment research group to shape investment portfolio and allocation decisions for our clients investment portfolios.
Michael Kelley
APMA
Michael Kelley is currently in his 9th year in the financial services industry. His financial and business experience includes financial planning, investment advice services, investment research, and advisor education. From a young age, he was drawn to the importance of financial literacy and the financial markets. This drives Michael to continue helping others feel empowered about their financial situation.
As a Financial Advisor at Coastal Wealth Management, Michael focuses primarily on comprehensive financial planning, retirement income strategies and investment management. He believes it's crucial to invest time understanding what is most important to clients, before investing their money.
Michael is also a member of the Coastal Wealth Managements Investment Policy Board. He previously served as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments and began his career with Lincoln Financial Group as a Regional Vice President.
Michael attended The Ohio State University. He is currently completing coursework for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation.
Michael is a previous collegiate athlete and carries that love for sports today as a dedicated fan. He swam while at The Ohio State University and coached multiple high school state champions. Today he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He and his wife, Katie and daughter, Monroe live in Branford with their two dogs. You can find them exploring the New England outdoors, hiking and skiing or discovering the next best hole-in-the-wall restaurant.
Bryan Lauriat

Bryan Lauriat is currently in his 18th year in the financial services industry. He has extensive experience across several areas of the business including financial planning, investment advice services, investment research, trading, client service and operations. This unique skill set has enabled Bryan to deliver not only well-communicated financial advice and effective, cost-efficient investment guidance but, more importantly, an exceptional service experience for each and every client he works with.
As a Managing Director at Coastal Wealth Management, Bryan focuses primarily on comprehensive financial planning, retirement income strategies, investment management and insurance solutions. Whether he is educating the young investor just getting started, helping a busy small business owner navigate the complexities of implementing a retirement savings plan for their employees, or working with folks in retirement to help their paychecks, Bryans passion for financial planning is quickly evident.
Bryan is a member of the teams Investment Policy Board. He holds a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut and the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA) designation from the College for Financial Planning.
