We strive to be as transparent as possible and commit to annual audits for both custody and performance. Our goal is to be more than just your investment manager by providing a full-service wealth management experience. We provide our investment management services on a fee-only basis. Our fees are based on the size of our clients' portfolios rather than commissions or the number of trades, so there is no conflict of interest regarding our investment decisions. Additionally, as part of our integrated approach to investment management, we provide you with unlimited and thorough financial planning advice complementarily. We pride ourselves on providing our clients with wealth management solutions combining investment management, financial planning, and relationship management services, including consulting with your accountants and attorneys, allowing you to streamline your complex financial affairs all under the umbrella of a single, highly competitive assets-under-management (AUM) fee.

Jeanette Lucas
CFP®, ChSNC™, CDFA®
Jeanette started working at Condor as an intern back in 2005 while attending Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick, where she attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers College. She decided to stay with Condor full time after graduation.
Jeanette went on to receive her Series 65 certification shortly after graduating. She then began attending client meetings and realized that she really wanted to help clients with more than just their investments, so she attained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2015.
After noticing unique financial difficulties in families that have a family member with special needs, she wanted to learn more about how to help with their financial planning needs and earned her Chartered Special Needs Consultant™ designation in 2017. Additionally, in 2020, Jeanette went on to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®. Having gone through a divorce herself, she knows the emotional and financial toll it can have on someone's life and wanted to be a better resource to help those going through it stay on their feet. She is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) in order to network with those in the industry and keep up to date on any new technologies and best practices.

Ken Schapiro
MBA, CFA®
Ken Schapiro founded Condor Capital in 1988 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. At the time of its founding, Ken wanted to fill a hole in the financial services industry—that of a fee-only advisor. Ken takes pride in Condor's commitment to its clients and their best interests.
As a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder, Ken manages portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, pension plans, and corporations. Ken and Condor Capital have been named to Barron's Top 1200 Financial Advisors each year since 2017. Financial Services |
Retirement Planning
Retirement is a highly personalized experience based on the individual. We can help you design your retirement plan based on your priorities and create financial projections to gauge the level of income that your portfolio can provide throughout your retirement. |
Portfolio Management
As an independent advisor with a fiduciary duty, we do not accept any kickbacks or commissions for using the investments that we do. That means our team is not limited to proprietary products and seeks only the best investment choices to construct your portfolio. We monitor and evaluate your portfolio constantly, making sure that it is properly rebalanced and excess cash, such as dividends and deposits, is invested promptly. We are always trying to manage portfolios in a tax-efficient manner as well. This includes minimizing portfolio turnover and incorporating tax-loss harvesting when applicable. |
Estate Planning & Trusts
Wills, living wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare arrangements are a few of the essential elements of estate planning. Condor Capitals planning professionals will work with you and your attorney to devise the blueprint providing your loved ones with a way to inherit your assets in an orderly and tax-efficient manner. |
Tax Advice and Services
Condor Capital would be more than happy to coordinate with your accountant on any tax-related planning. Examples of this planning can include estimated tax payment calculations, whether a Roth Conversion is appropriate for you, whether or not you should delay your first required minimum distribution, etc. We also actively look for tax-loss harvesting opportunities within your portfolio, and we make sure to allocate appropriate securities in your accounts based on your tax situation. |
Education Funding and Planning
Coverdell ESAs, 529 Plans, and UTMA accounts are a few examples of the options available for funding the higher education of children and/or grandchildren. College tuition rates and other college expenses rise annually. Our advisors at Condor Capital can assist you in planning for the cost of your children's or grandchildren's higher education by working with you and employing various budgeting options to construct a feasible savings strategy. |
Wealth Management
As part of our investment process at Condor, we take the time to determine your overall investor profile. This includes identifying short-term and long-term goals, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, tax issues, and other special concerns. We then design an appropriate investment strategy for you to provide diversified exposure to the global equity and fixed income markets. To ensure a cohesive investment strategy is in place, we can advise on every investment account in your portfolio. This includes brokerage, IRA, trust, 401(k), annuity, stock option, and other investment accounts. We draw on the expertise of our own investment research team to seek out prevailing market trends and identify investments for your portfolio. Most accounts are managed on a discretionary basis, which allows our portfolio managers to efficiently execute trades on your behalf. Accounts are typically maintained at a discount brokerage firm to keep trading costs low. |
Risk Management
Condor Capital will ensure that your portfolio is managed in accordance with your risk tolerance by maintaining your portfolio within an agreed upon allocation range. Additionally, we invest in a diversified manner to keep you from being overly exposed to one stock or area of the market. |
Insurance Planning
As a general rule, a sound financial plan hopes for the best but remains prepared for the worst. While we do not directly offer insurance products, we can review your current insurance situation to determine whether it is adequate for your current and future insurance needs. |
401K Rollovers
We can do a full comparative analysis on whether and when a 401(k) rollover would be in your best interest. This includes reviewing your personal situation, fee differences, investment options, etc. If it is deemed that a rollover is in your best interest, our white glove service team will assist you in any. |
Financial Planning for Businesses
We know that business owners have their work cut out for them. You may not have time to sort out the intricacies of your retirement plan when you can be focused on running your business. Even so, it's crucial that you plan properly for your future. At Condor Capital, we aim to help you make the most of your options and guide you through each step of the process. We are able to assist you with 401(k) management as well as deferred compensation plans based on your company's needs. |
Financial Advice & Consulting
Our CFP® practitioners are experts in education planning, retirement planning, estate and gifting strategies, and insurance. Our goal is to deliver best-in-class holistic financial advice to our clients. To do so, we offer unlimited complimentary financial planning in addition to our investment management services. Additionally, we help our clients through the analytical and emotional decision-making process of significant life events, such as retirement or the death of a family member. |
Investment Advice & Management
Condor Capital will reevaluate your situation and goals to establish a detailed recommendation. We will provide a detailed recommendation on how your portfolio should be positioned and how you are positioned to meet your financial goals. |
Annuities
We do not sell annuities and normally do not recommend them because of their inflexibility and generally high cost. However, we can help you assess your situation to see if there is a need for annuities in your portfolio and financial strategy while assisting you in evaluating your policy options to formulate the optimal implementation. |
Financial Planning for Individuals
Condor's team of financial planning professionals offers personalized and unbiased advice on a variety of topics. This can be a vital aspect of the client relationship since our investment management services are often closely integrated with our financial planning efforts. We believe that maintaining an ongoing awareness of your financial situation is important to make sure you stay on track toward meeting your financial goals. In fact, we look to build long-term relationships with our clients so that we can provide continuity of advice over time and help you evaluate whether any adjustments to strategy are needed. |
Money Management
Condor can assist you in transferring funds and securities between accounts, setting up automatic withdrawals, sending out wires, negotiating a more favorable margin rate if you need temporary funds from your account, helping with 60-day rollovers from your IRAs, assist you with donating funds or securities to charities, etc. |

NJBiz Best Places to Work in NJ 2022
(06/29/2022)
For 2022, Condor Capital Wealth Management ranked among the best small companies to work for in the state of New Jersey, making it ten years on this prestigious list. NJBIZ is New Jersey's only weekly business journal covering the entire state with the goal of providing useful and important information for the benefit of New Jersey's customers, employees, and communities as a whole.
Every year, NJBIZ selects 100 companies to receive the coveted designation of "Best Place to Work in NJ". Winners are selected based on employee information, surveys, and company-specific data such as policies, practices, and demographics. The recipients are then divided between large, medium, and small-sized companies to complete the process and earn a spot on the list of Best Places to Work in NJ.
Barron's Top 1,200 Financial Advisors 2022
(03/23/2022)
Ken Schapiro, president of Condor Capital Wealth Management, was listed in Barron's ranking for the Top 1,200 Financial Advisors in 2022. This makes the sixth consecutive year he has placed in this ranking, and he is now #24 in the state of New Jersey, rising seven places since 2020. Barron's Top 1,200 Financial Advisors ranking draws from all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, and it's the largest, most comprehensive of the annual advisor listings that Barron''s Magazine runs. It includes a cross-section of private wealth advisors from independents who own and operate their own practices to advisors from large Wall Street firms.
This special report lists the top advisors in each state with the number of ranking spots determined by each state's population and wealth. The rankings are based on assets under management, revenues generated by advisors for their firms, and the quality of the advisor's practices. Investment performance is not an explicit criterion because performance is often a function of each client's appetite for risk. In evaluating advisors, Barron's examines regulatory records, internal company documents, and 100-plus points of data provided by the advisors themselves.

Every year, the publication conducts a survey to determine the best registered investment advisors (RIAs) in the country based on information submitted by individual firms. Companies are ranked based on the total of their discretionary and nondiscretionary assets, percentage growth in total assets, and percentage growth in assets per client.
