John began his career in the early 1980's as an Institutional Bond Salesman working for several investment firms including: Alex Brown & Sons, Paine Webber and George K. Baum. As a municipal bond specialist, his client base consisted of banks, insurance companies and other professional money managers. In 2001 he had a deep-seated desire to apply his knowledge in the institutional markets to the retail investor. He joined a life insurance agency and in 2006 he received his CFP® designation. In 2015 the strong belief of the unique value offered by an independent financial advisor lured John to independence; he associated himself with Wellesley Financial Planners. Central to John's career as a financial advisor is not only to provide clients with strategies as they accumulate wealth, but also to build safe and secure income distribution strategies as they transition to retirement. His 30-year career in the financial industry is enhanced by the following credentials. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER", ENROLLED AGENT "enrolled to represent taxpayers before the IRS". If you're seeking an informed second opinion on Asset Allocation, Risk Management, Retirement Income, Medicare, Social Security and Tax strategies; you'll find John to be comprehensive, knowledgeable, attentive, and trustworthy. John grew up in Holmdel where he attended St. John Vianney High School; he obtained his B.S. Degree in both Business Administration and Marketing from King's College. He resides in Red Bank: he's an active member of The National Society of Enrolled Agents, The New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents, The Jersey Shore Running Club and The Amerigo American Vespucci Society.
Financial Planning for Individuals
Family, Career, Lifestyle and Money. As a Wealth Advisor I intentionally work with a limited number of clients; I do this because it leads to better chemistry, more individual attention and a personalized strategy. I've refined and developed a process that's designed to put all the pieces of ones financial puzzle together...this puzzle usually revolves around your Family, Career, Lifestyle and Money. My "Sounding Board" process puts you in a better position to succeed whether you're planning to completely retire or pursue a "work-optional life style". 1) First step is asking the right questions to get a picture of your current financial situation and a complete understanding of your goals. 2) Next I'll provide you with assessment of how attainable those goals are, while prioritizing each one. 3) Together we'll review the solutions available to you, help you make an informed decision and discuss our process to keep you on-track. The "Sounding Board Process" was developed so we never lose sight of what's most important to you; Family, Career, Lifestyle and Money. I became a financial advisor to help families, corporate executives and business owners achieve their financial objectives with simplicity, transparency and a disciplined process.
Investment Advice & Management
As a Wealth Advisor I believe it's imperative to discuss my process of Asset Allocation and Investing with clients and potential clients. The secret to investing is not picking the right stock or timing the market. The key is how you divide your money between different types of asset classes. Stocks...should I allocate to U.S. or International Companies or a combination of both? Same concept with Bonds...Should I invest in U.S Government, International, Corporate or Municipal bonds? If you combine these investments in the right balance, you may increase the potential for generating a higher return while potentially minimizing risk. I believe before an investor makes a decision about choosing a Financial Advisor a very important question should be asked...what process does my advisor use to determine the investments that are appropriate for me? I use Point and Figure charting; I incorporate this methodology to help guide me when it comes to allocating my client's portfolios; along with selecting which specific investments to buy or sell. If your so inclined I can email you a brochure which discusses the basics of Point N Figure charting I share this with you not that you need to get into the "weeds", but I think it important for you to know my process. Sincerely John Mossa, CFP® EA
