We offer wealth management and advice for high net worth families and individuals. As a fully-virtual wealth management firm, we focus on being a strong match with families we serve, without regard to zip code. We seek to optimize tax efficiency and planning, organize estate planning, and mitigate portfolio overlap and expenses. We bring a partner mindset to all client engagement. We want to be a family's CFO that never forgets who is the CEO --- you!
Ryan Poterack
CEO & Wealth Manager
I'm doing exactly what I envisioned doing as a teenager! Since obtaining my Finance degree in 1990 from Iowa State University, I've been helping people make better decisions. Poterack Capital Advisory was established as an independent private firm in 2001, so my team could focus on Fiduciary, long-term client relationships and a client experience not typically available at "Big Box" brokerage firms in the industry.
Our process, from initially getting acquainted through being accepted as a client, is diligent and thorough. We want you to have confidence and achieve all your planning outcomes in a tax-efficient, cost-effective way! Our Fiduciary process and fee-based approach may be a breath of fresh air from commissioned salespeople you've met with previously.
I believe in asking great questions focused on you and listening. This is in contrast to a sales pitch approach made before understanding your unique values and objectives. Our transparency and forthrightness may be unique to your experience with the financial industry.
My wife Dawn and I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and delicious foods - not necessarily in that order! Between us we have 6 adult children and one youngster (Lincoln, age 11) still at home with us.
Alec Quaid
Wealth Manager
I have been in the industry for 8 years and absolutely love what I do. Guiding families through the intricacies of financial planning is both an honor and a joy. Rest assured, my commitment to continuous growth as an advisor is unwavering, fueled by my genuine love for this field. I have achieved the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and have been elected to the Board of Directors for the Colorado Financial Planning Association.
I am originally from Michigan but grew up in Fort Collins, CO and returned to the Midwest (Iowa), at Northwestern College for my first two years of college where I played basketball. The subsequent two years I attended Colorado State University, where I attained my degree in Financial Planning. Yes, they actually had that degree, and I knew this was the career I wanted to be in early on!
My wife Sydney and I reside in the town of Castle Rock, CO, just 30 minutes south of Denver. We have been married for 3 years and we welcomed our first child, a boy we named Deacon, to the world in April! We stay busy with skiing, hiking, golfing, working out, and the many other outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. We are active members of our local church, and our Christian faith holds a paramount place in our lives.
Anna Hopkins
Relationship Manager
I joined the PCA team over 16 years ago, with a background in marketing and corporate communications.
My role is to ensure our client experience is exactly as it should be - I turn Ryan's vision and creativity into reality at PCA. I am the one who guides prospective clients as they get acquainted with our firm, go through our unique and powerful discovery process, and decide to partner with us. I am responsible for our online presence (our website, Facebook, LinkedIn, podcast, and blog), I coordinate the events we hold, and I scheduling client and prospective client discussions with our wealth managers. Everyone at PCA is obsessed with providing exceptional client service and value, and I lead the pack!
When I manage to tear myself away from work, I enjoy spending time with my close-knit family, exercising, and traveling to places with palm trees.
