Portfolio management is the key to our client's success. We begin with a deep understanding of market and economic conditions. Building on that understanding, we create tailored client portfolios based on their portfolio objectives. We utilize Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Closed-end Funds, private, competitively bid Structured Investments and Option overlays to build out the ideal client portfolio.
Financial independence is the most popular planning goal I come across. In today's world, with limited to no pensions, investing for retirement is on the shoulders of the individual. I use my knowledge and experience to guide my clients through the phases of retirement planning from accumulation to transitioning to generating cash flow during retirement. I will add value in whichever phase your in currently.
The most common reasons for rolling over an old employer sponsored plan is the lack of investment options provided by the plan, desire for professional portfolio management and other services. Regardless if it makes sense to leave a 401k at a previous employer or roll it over to an IRA, I can help with the decision making process and explain all the pros and cons.
Through my financial planning process, I evaluate my clients overall insurance needs including life, health, disability, long-term care and property casualty liability coverage. I do not sell insurance products because we're fee-only advisors. I provide my clients with recommendations and help them acquire the needed policies.
I do not sell annuities. For most people, we have better options.

Estate planning is a crucial part of every client's financial plan. Everyone at least needs a will, power of attorney and healthcare proxy. Clients with small children should create trusts under their wills to ensure the assets are used appropriately for the child. I work with attorneys to implement estate plans and if needed, create complex estate planning strategies.

I provide tax planning on an annual basis using specialized tax planning software or with the client's accountant.

Risk management is the most important part of portfolio management and key to long-term success. We deploy advance risk management strategies to protect against downside risk and providing the opportunity for upside return.

I'm a advocate for my clients in all areas of their finances when other professionals are involved such as insurance agents, loan officers, attorneys and accountants. I work closely with these other professionals to provide holistic services to my clients.
Wealth is a relative term. What matters is your wealth. The most important aspect of wealth is understanding what your wealth can and can't do for you and your loved ones.
We focus on downside protection while maintaining the potential for strong returns in our client's portfolio objective bands or risk tolerance levels.
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?
Yes, I guarantee the complete satisfaction of my financial planning services and will refund financial planning fees if the client is not satisfied.
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services?
We are fee only. The client has the option to pay a percentage of assets under our management or a flat fixed annual fee. The client will receive both financial planning and investment advice under ONE fee regardless of the path the client chooses.
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something?
We typically manage client accounts on a "discretionary" basis. Meaning we do not require permission and/or discussion for every buy or sell transaction. Client objectives and many other factors are discussed upfront and reviewed on an on-going basis. We feel this is the preferred method from both the client's perspective and ours. We do accommodate new clients by discussing transitions more frequently if requested by the client.
Will you be the only person working with me?
I am my client's go-to for financial planning and investment discussions. Being available for my clients is important to me. We have great client service professionals to help with forms, updates, administrative details, etc. and a portfolio management team to oversee day-to-day trading, transactions, monitoring, research and analysis. All team members can be made available when needed.
Have you ever been charged with any breaches?
WiserAdvisor provides referrals to financial professionals. WiserAdvisor is not a current client of advisor or advisory services. Financial professionals pay cash compensation for these referrals, which creates the incentive for WiserAdvisor to make these referrals, resulting in a conflict of interest.
