I am the Founder of Barbara Rowens Financial, a full service, woman-owned financial advising and wealth management firm located in Upper Gwynedd, PA. My education and career has spanned several fields, which is why I am able to provide my clients with a multidisciplinary approach to help them pursue their goals and live life to the fullest. How do you charge for your services?

Transparent Fees: Getting Started with My One-Hour Initial Consultation - $300 My one-hour consultation fee covers your initial meeting, as well as the work that occurs prior to (and after) your first meeting. I start the process by simply listening. At the meeting, I review your financial situation and discuss whatever is on your mind. The meeting also gives us an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your needs, and decide if the relationship is a good fit. Afterwards, I create a personal proposal that describes the services that you would benefit from and the fees. In essence, we discuss the specific areas where we will work together to help make a difference in your life. Fees are based on assets under management (AUM). There could be an hourly fee depending on the services requested such as in-depth pension analysis or divorce consulting. My minimum fee on investable assets is typically 1.1% of your balance. The fee will typically include a financial plan.

Assessment - I will help bring your risk and current financial situation into focus. Personalized Cash-Flow Based Planning. Social Security Analysis - In-depth analysis of available social Security claiming options. Risk Management Planning - Comprehensive analysis of life, disability, long-term care and other risk management solutions.

What is your experience? How many clients do you currently manage?

I construct portfolios that are in line with your specific goals, timeline , and risk tolerance. I regularly monitor your portfolio's performance and allocation, and conduct meetings to discuss withdrawal strategies, changes within your portfolio's allocation and time horizon. Not every investment works out and not every market goes up forever. If you are concerned about performance, a discussion about asset allocation should be at the top of your list. As needed, over time, we make any necessary changes to keep you aligned with your goals. My disciplined discovery process is key to understanding the right investment strategy for your specific situation. The initial discovery process has to be thorough, which is why top financial advisors will include financial planning, not just investment management, as part of the services they provide to their clients. We believe all of our clients should have a financial plan, which is why we view it as the skeleton of the process.
