Paul Hoffman
CFP® and LPL Financial Advisor
As a LPL Financial Advisor and Coach at Next Third Retirement Coaching, Paul thrives on working with individuals and families, helping them utilize their financial resources to improve the client's lives. Paul brings over 40 years of independent advisor experience, CFP® Professional certification, as well as business and industry understanding to Next Third.
Paul understands that true financial planning is based on an individualized approach. He assists and coaches clients in defining their financial life goals by combining financial strategies, behavioral finance approaches, and emotional elements to develop plans that help clients move confidently into the Next Third of their lives. Paul has been recognized by LPL as a top 0.5% advisor as an Executive Council* advisor. Over the past decade, Paul's primary role was to coach and advise financial planners on how to work with clients. Paul is excited to now take his knowledge base directly to the clients.
Paul is a family man and business leader. He and his wife Kathy are the proud parents of three adult sons and have two grandkids. A native of Appleton and a graduate of UW-Oshkosh, he and his family are active members in the community. Paul is a master gardener, and enjoys downhill skiing, biking, and running. He has completed marathons and an Ironman triathlon. Paul also earned his black belt in karate.

Andrew Hoffman
CPRS® - Paraplanner
Andrew Hoffman assists Advisors with creating financial plans for Next Third Retirement Coaching clients. Previously, he worked for a Registered Investment Advisor where he generated client statements, prepared financial plans for experienced advisors, and managed the internal books and records for the firm. Before working in the finance industry, Andrew worked for an accounting firm where he helped prepare individuals tax return documents.
Andrew has earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist®, CRPS® in 2020. He is continuing his education by taking additional training and certification exams to improve his abilities to serve our clients.
Andrew is from Appleton, WI and is a UW-Oshkosh graduate. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance. His interests outside of work include snowboarding, fishing, tending to his aquariums, or spending time with his black lab, Zuri.
David Hoffman
Operations Manager
Dave Hoffman is the Operations Manager for Next Third. Most recently he worked in the information and cyber security area for a major international bank. Prior to that, he was a consulting manager for various firms including Deloitte and BearingPoint, translating business requirements and processes into information technology plans and specifications.
Throughout his career, Dave has always been an advocate for end users, or clients, in their use of technology. He understands that it is imperative to engage in dialogue and coaching with clients on a personal level to learn what they truly need so that he can apply software and systems to assist in meeting those needs.
Dave grew up in Appleton, WI, and has an undergraduate degree from UW-Stout and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Yes, Paul is his brother and Andrew his nephew. It is a great joy for him to be able to work with family and spend some time back in Appleton. He and his wife, Betsy, live in Lake Elmo, MN, a far-east suburb of the Twin Cities; their son and family live in a suburb of Minneapolis and their daughter and family live near Madison. Dave and Betsy's grandchildren are an absolute joy and help keep Grandma and Grandpa feeling young by trying to keep up. Dave's hobbies include being a long-time member of Toastmasters, golfing, reading, and traveling.
