Chartered Trust and Estate Planner (CTEP)


Summary:

As a prerequisite for being considered for this designation, an advisor must first have at least three years experience with trusts and estate planning. The candidate must also have completed undergraduate or graduate studies in finance, tax, accounting, and law or obtain a CPA, MBA, Masters of Science (MS) from an accredited university. If higher education requirement is not met, the candidate must complete five courses offered by the AAFM. The candidate must also pass a comprehensive examination, and agree to complete 15 hours of continued education per year.
